We loved our stay in Ria-Sirach, Patrick had great local tips and was fun for a chat and drink. The apartment was really comfortable, clean, has history and a nice chillaxed vibe. I just couldn't get enough of the view from the private balcony with the view of Ria, the mountains and the sounds of the cool waters of the Têt flowing right below you.
Definitely coming here again! …
Location great for walking
This is the second time we have stayed here. The location is great for anyone who is into walking (or skiing in the winter months)
The apartment is well appointed with all you need for a comfortable stay. The lounge, dining area and kitchen have everything you need. There are 2 good size bedrooms and a bathroom with seperate bath and shower.
The location is about 30 minutes from Perpignan, so access to the city for shopping or going to a rugby (League or Union) match is fine.
We arranged a 4x4 from Villefranche de Confluent to the refuge on Canogou so we can walk up to the top of Canigou. Recomended.
The Lac du Boullouse is about 1 hour away but has lots of walks around some stunning lakes and mountains.. Perhaps we will get up Mt Carlit next year.
Mont Louis has a small display of a Solar Furnace (Four Solaire) which is very interesting but Odeilo has a much larger Solar furnace you can visit .
We also went to the Catalan fortification of Perypertuse. Fantastic ruin high on a cliff.
Just a note: If you are walking check your insurance as it may not cover you over 2000m and lots of the walks are over this height. …
Apartment is Vivre la France!!!
A superb apartment which is so typically french. Homely and very welcoming! We will have been here almost one month now and we have enjoyed every minute. We would highly reccommend this apartment to all of our friends and relatives.
Both the proprietor and Chantal are so very welcoming and wonderfully helpful. …
Le Canigou - Ria-Sirach. Apartment with terrace;
Comfy, calm and relaxing
We came to stay in this apartment at the beginning of the month. The apartment has easy access and a car park just meters away. It is on the first floor of a tastefully renovated village house with a modern kitchen, a cosy bedroom and a beautiful terrace.
We were able to visit the hot springs in Saint Thomas and took a day trip to the ski resorts.
Although the weather didn't allow swimming or sunbathing, we went to the sea and enjoyed the traditional seaside dish "moules et frites".
Julie was an excellent host and recommended the hot springs for a relaxing day out.
I would happily recommend this apartment to any couple or family wanting a holiday home in the region. …
