Apartment Anna is an apartment in a large spacious house in the Austrian village of Uttendorf which lies on the valley floor between Zell am See and Mittersill (Pass Thurn). For summer holidays it is also a perfect base to discover the walks that start from the chalet door and beyond and as it lies directly on the Hohe Tauern Rad Weg (cycle route which is the 2nd most popular cycle route in Austria, there are many opportunities for bike rides around the area and beyond. The 2 bedroom apartment has a separate kitchen diner, a large south facing garden and a very spacious hall way with marble floor and handmade wrought iron bannister. The 2 bedrooms are each 28 sq m large, so are generous in size.

Locally, guests can visit Europes tallest waterfalls at Krimml, visit various museums, mountains, lakes for swimming in the summer, enjoy a drink or two in street cafes, visit music events, watch the traditional farmers/harvest festivals in the autumn when the cows are brought down from the alms or buy a pair of traditional lederhosen.
Apartment Chalet Anna is a 2013 Travellers Choice Winner! This highly acclaimed award comes from us getting 5 star reviews from our guests every time!! Good or what? Having lived here since 2006, I have the advantage of knowing the local area, knowing the ski slopes locally, speaking the language and therefore am able to help you get the most out of your holiday.

The Salzburg Region

A wonderful location for winter ski holidays, with the snow sure 360 days a year Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in Kaprun only 20 minutes away and many other great resorts locally. In the summer it is a great family holiday area with tons to do, or for the adreneline junkie, there are sports such as paragliding, white water rafting and canyoning. The locals are very friendly and prices are very competitive against other European mountain resorts. The airports of Innsbruck (1 and half hours) and Salzburg (1 hour 15 mins) serve the area and Vienna is about 3 hours away by train or car. An overnight trip to Venice using Chalet Anna as your base is possible as the Italian border is only 1 hour away and trains run to Venice in 3 hours. Croatia is only 5 hours by car, so an overnight to the beach is also possible.
If you need culture, visit Salzburg, for wow factor go to the ice caves at Eisriesenwelt in Werfen, for sports go walking, skiing, riding, wind surfing on Zeller lake, for relaxation go to the Tauern Spa Kaprun, for shopping and nightlife, go to Munich and for sparkles, visit the Swaroski crystal world in Wattens near Innsbruck.

Zell am See

Zell am See is an historic town with a weekly farmers market in summer and regular events for ski tourists in winter. It lies on the Zeller lake which freezes enough in winter to walk across and buy a mulled wine from a stall in the middle! In the period of Advent, there is a winter Christmas market which is great for buying last minute Christmas gifts. The town is compact with a great atmosphere. Spoil yourself and have tea and cake on the terrace of the Grand Hotel, go ice skating or swimming in the leisure centre, take a trip on the Porsche boat on the lake or sunbathe on the lakeside beaches.
Having lived here since 2006 and having trained as a ski instructor, I know the slopes well and will be able to help you get the most from your ski holiday here by suggesting the best places to go. Local knowledge and being able to speak the language counts for alot when you are thinking about who to book your holiday with and this puts me in a good position to help you get the most from your holiday here summer or winter.
