“Absolutely fabulous!!!” This is exactly how a holiday rental should be! This was our second visit, and, from the initial inquiry to arriving at the property Deborah could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and all my questions were answered promptly and efficiently. The property is superb with every conceivable piece of equipment you could possibly require whilst on holiday. The chalets are decorated in a modern style but with some individual touches that raise them beyond the usual holiday rental. I love to see the little personal items that show that their family use them too. It makes it feel less like a holiday rental and more like you're staying at your friend's! We stayed in the bunk room and the only possible improvement I could suggest is to add a mirror. With 3 couples using the chalet this would be a bonus as the bathroom obviously gets very busy , especially in the evening. The village is perfect for families and people new to skiing. We are novice skiers and it was a great start for us. Paul even organised some private skiing lessons for us which really helped us get the most out of our stay. We saw lots of children at the ski schools having a superb time and the rest of the family could try out the more challenging runs. Serious skiers might need to go further afield to get their buzz! What really stole our hearts during our stay was the apres ski. There were several places to choose from, but our favourite was the Happy Filsmoos, where we spent nearly every lunchtime and evening. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm and, needless to say, 'happy'. The food is wholesome and filling and you can dance (and sing) the early evening away in your ski gear without a second thought - a big plus point for me! Later in the evening, if you still have the energy, the Ken-i-di bar goes on until late and is great fun for karaoke singing and dancing. If you go at New Year you will no doubt run into a great crowd of Irish people who are intent on having a good time and have apparently been coming for a few years. Their repertoire of songs is enormous - nearly as big as their capacity for alcohol! It is all very good humoured and they encouraged every one else to join in regardless of nationality! We stayed over New Year and the views of Filsmoos were amazing in fact I might try and use one of my photos to make my own Christmas cards next year. I am seriously considering booking a summer holiday here as the scenery is so stunning I would like to try it for walking during warmer weather. The addition of a hot tub would absolutely seal it! Deborah and Paul were actually staying in one of the chalets whilst we were there and, although we were quite self sufficient, having hired a car, I did notice Deborah offering to take other guests down into the village in her 4x4, even though there is a local bus service. This is customer service at its best! In summary, I would wholeheartedly recommend any of the 3 chalets available from Deborah and Paul, as the amenities, service and total experience was way beyond our expectations and, perhaps more importantly, was consistent across both visits.
