“Lovely private house”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2015

The Loft was a lovely place to spend a week relaxing. Jesabel was very helpful with all our questions before our stay and we booked the in house pick up from the airport as well which all went really smoothly. The house has only been renovated recently and it has been completed to a very high standard. I loved the little garden and it was a great place to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine (although you might need some mozzie repelent!). The roof terraces were also great for sunbathing with sun loungers provided. Generally the loft had everything we needed for our stay and we had a lovely time. There is a supermarket just across the road along with a bus stop which takes you down to the sea in about 5 minutes and to Valetta (where you can get busses to everywhere else on the island) in about 20-30 minutes. In terms of local places to eat, there are a few seaside restaurants down the road in Marsaskala which you can walk to in about 20-25 minutes (or get the bus). It is only a small town and not very touristy, but personally this is what I liked about the place. The loft isn't in the thick of the tourist area, but if you are looking for somewhere quieter and a bit more authentic then I would definitely recommend. It can take you a while to get to other parts of the island by bus as the traffic is quite bad and most busses go through Valetta so if you are brave enough to drive in Malta, it might make your life a bit easier to hire a car.

“Modern, Tranquil and a delight to stay here.”

We booked to stay at The Loft for our honeymoon in Malta as we had never been to Malta and were looking for an apartment that was for two people. The Loft is a greats size. The entrance to the apartment was beautiful. The pictures are nice but you see the true beauty with your own eyes. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, microwave/oven, gas cooker and double sink. A wonderful size living area with TV, DVD and a comfy couch. The bed is extremely comfy with a great size shower, which was great as my husband is 6ft 5 and needs a bit of elbow space. We spend a few days on the roof terrace sunning ourselves. The Loft was in a great location away from commercialized areas with a local chefs choice shop just a few minutes away and a bus stop closer than the shop. Jessabe was great to communicate with and came and picked us up at the airport and also a wee tour on the way to the apartment to get our baring about the place. She was a wonderful host and her husband a wonderful architect. The condition of The Loft was extremely clean and uncluttered giving it a very modern feel. Ow and I loved the painting and pictures. We had a fantastic stay at the Loft and we would return in the future. 5* all the way for us.

“The perfect getaway and most authentic area of Malta”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2014

We stayed for 9 days in Malta and spent a dream holiday in the loft. The interior design was exquisite as the owners are architects and designed everything themselves. The outer areas (sun deck, patio and roof top) were great to relax. We also very much enjoyed the outdoor shower on a hot day. As there are walls all around the loft, you can truely enjoy your privacy. The accommodation had everything we needed and the owners were really kind and helpful and shared their insight knowledge with us - best beaches, feasts etc. We also chose this area as it is off the beaten track and there is not much tourism around. On the other hand, everything we needed was nearby. There is a supermarket around the corner and even a bus stop would have been available. We would recommend getting a car though - it's really worthit and handy to discover the nearby beaches whenever you need to cool down and want to jump into the water. We discovered the real authentic Malta and had a fantastic holiday. We would definitely come back to the loft. Thanks again to the owners!

“Beautiful accommodation and location”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2014

The Loft is absolutely wonderful! The house is very well equipped and and has been renovated beautifully. It has a fantastic roof terrace which provides great views and the courtyard was perfect for eating breakfast in the sun. Jesabel and Aaron were very kind and helpful. They provided us with everything we needed and were very helpful with any enquiries we had. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk away which is the same for the bus stops. Marsascala was just a 25 minute walk away (bus ride is 5 minutes) which was perfect for eating dinner out and the views were superb. St Thomas Bay was also very close by (around a 30 minute walk) or the bus goes directly there also and only takes around 10 minutes. Bus links went directly to Valetta which was very handy. Me and my partner enjoyed our stay immensely and we would definitely recommend staying at The Loft.

It was a pleasure having you as our guests, when designing the Loft we always kept in mind that we wanted to offer a relaxing and comfortable stay to our guests.
