Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Lovely private house” The Loft was a lovely place to spend a week relaxing.
Jesabel was very helpful with all our questions before our stay and we booked the in house pick up from the airport as well which all went really smoothly.
The house has only been renovated recently and it has been completed to a very high standard. I loved the little garden and it was a great place to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine (although you might need some mozzie repelent!).
The roof terraces were also great for sunbathing with sun loungers provided.
Generally the loft had everything we needed for our stay and we had a lovely time.
There is a supermarket just across the road along with a bus stop which takes you down to the sea in about 5 minutes and to Valetta (where you can get busses to everywhere else on the island) in about 20-30 minutes.
In terms of local places to eat, there are a few seaside restaurants down the road in Marsaskala which you can walk to in about 20-25 minutes (or get the bus). It is only a small town and not very touristy, but personally this is what I liked about the place.
The loft isn't in the thick of the tourist area, but if you are looking for somewhere quieter and a bit more authentic then I would definitely recommend.
It can take you a while to get to other parts of the island by bus as the traffic is quite bad and most busses go through Valetta so if you are brave enough to drive in Malta, it might make your life a bit easier to hire a car.
