Located in Victot Pontfol (14), 15 km from Cabourg and 25 minutes from Deauville and 20 minutes from Caen, the Gite de la Dorette is ideal to come relax with family or friends. This cottage in the countryside, near the beach of Cabourg is intended for 4 people (+ 1 cot). Dear David, Here is a message from my rescued dog Cannelle… “I absolutely understand that my happiness was not really under control when you came at Gîte de la Dorette. As a baby rescued dog, I want you to understand my story in short terms. I was living in a small apartment in Paris and spending my days by myself, was bitten and then abandoned. And it was not a secret….Guénaëlle explained that I was a rescued dog when you arrived. Guénaëlle saw my picture on Facebook shared 500 times….Then I arrived in Normandy because the Vet wanted to know where I was going to live and if it was going to be in a safe place for me… After few weeks only, I understood that some people could be nice with me. I’ve seen a lot of people and animals and tried to be good ! My new mum is doing all her best to show me that the life is beautiful and I’m so excited about that idea ! We’re doing some education classes which help me a lot. I’m just happy ! I progress everyday. So YES, I love my new life in Normandy, and YES I love people coming in my new home. I’m sorry David. I was just still too young to control my happiness to welcome you in my new house when you came. You arrived as a guest at the Gîte at that time…That’s a shame for you because as a “dog lover” you never told to Guénaëlle that I was a problem for you when you where here in Normandie and this was not a problem at all for me to be in the house ! So you missed good times in the garden…and you missed the sunsets. Since my new life here , all the guests before and after you understood…that I was just happy ! Best wishes

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Guénaëlle (the owner) a message.

If Guénaëlle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
