This ground floor log cabin, situated on a site with a few similar lodges on the outskirts of Strathpeffer in the Northern Highlands, can sleep four people in two bedrooms.Rowan Lodge is a charming, ground floor log cabin in the Northern Highlands, on the outskirts of Blackmuir Wood and the village of Strathpeffer. The cottage has a double bedroom, a twin room and a bathroom, and can sleep four people. There is a spacious yet cosy open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area, comfy sofas, and French doors leading out on a private decked balcony with furniture. Outside, there is also off road parking for two cars, and a short drive to the RSPB Tollie Red Kites nature reserve. Set within easy driving distance of the Cairngorms National Park and Loch Ness, Rowan Lodge is a wonderful base for uncovering the unspoilt beauty of this spectacular region.

Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Rear decked balcony with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 15 mins walk. Note: Although all ground floor, there are two steps to front door and five steps to decking and rear entrance.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The pretty spa village of Strathpeffer offers shops, pubs, restaurants and a golf course, as well as craft shops and the Highland Museum of Childhood in a former Victorian railway station. The area also boasts walks, cycle routes and fishing.
