Fully renovated charming 17th century farmhouse with all the comfort of a modern home. Situated only 20 minutes from Mont St Michel in the tranquil rural location of Saint Aubin De Terregatte only 10 minutes' drive away from Saint James & Ducey for supermarkets, restaurants, shops & amenities.

Fully self catering gite offers a self-service check in facility. The whole house is exclusive to you.  Escape from the stress of city life with this peaceful countryside retreat

There are two Gites on site. This  advert is for Gite number 2 and is exclusively private to you. Gite 2 is ideal for people with reduced mobility as there is only one step into the front door which leads straight into dining area, lounge and kitchen, which are all open plan and on one level. Via the door from the dinning area, there are two steps to get into the bedroom, which is also on the ground floor along with the bathroom.  

Not suitable for wheelchairs, but good for people who prefer the accommodation to be on the ground floor.

As you enter the gite via the white double doors you are presented with a spacious comfy lounge/ kitchen/ dining area, that is all open plan. The lounge area comprises of settee and two arm chairs, French TV and Satellite English Tv via a free sat box. The Gite has Free WIFI.  The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size Gas cooker and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and full size dishwasher. The kitchen has a door leading to a fully fenced, south facing garden overlooking the hills and fields of the Norman countryside. The garden has a patio area, with patio furniture, table and chairs and sun loungers.

From the dining area, you go through a door and two steps to the bedroom, which has a king size bed and black out curtains and patio doors that open to the patio area.  Perfect for your relaxing morning breakfast. From the bedroom is the private en-suite, WC, Shower with monsoon shower head  and sink unit.  

A baby's cot and highchair can be provided free of charge, if needed. Please let us know at the time of booking.

Plenty of free car parking at the front of the gite in a designated parking area.

Sorry no pets allowed as we have two dogs, and 6 chickens that live on site, but in a separate private garden.

This accommodation  is perfect for days at the beach, shopping, and exploring the local area. It's very tranquil, a real retreat to help you relax from the stresses of life, while sitting in the garden with a glass of wine or local cider and cheese. 

Nearby to the gite , only 1km away is the village of Saint Laurent De Terregatte, which has two bars/ restaurants/ tabac and general convenience store. In the heart of the village of Saint Aubin De Terregatte there is a bar with attached general convenience store / post office and depot de pain and a hairdresser nearby

Guests are not allowed to smoke in the house. Please use the garden and dispose of your cigarette ends in the ashtray provided.

We don't charge a cleaning fee but we ask you to leave the gite in a clean and tidy /good state with the dishes done and put away, the bed linen stripped. All bins emptied and taken out to the wheelie bins on the front courtyard.

All Exterior doors must be locked when leaving the building.

Dear Mari We are sorry that you felt it was ethical to write such a false review. First of all, you gave a three-star review on Airbnb for cleanliness with Accuracy, Location, Value, Check In and Communication as 4 & 5 stars, in particular with communication being a 5 star. Now on Google you have given 1 stars, that shows major discrepancies with your review ethics. Very rarely, but an issue might arise, but there are no issues that cannot be addressed quickly and easily. However, you did not mention any problems during your stay, which meant they could not be put right for you. This is despite the numerous messages you sent me. The only thing you mentioned was that you wanted some cooking oil, which you were brought immediately. Despite there being a bottle left for you in the under counter cupboard. We pride ourselves that on Airbnb alone we have 145 great reviews and over 200 reviews collectively. The cleaner is constantly being complimented and given 5 stars for her hard work. It is strange that you did not mention any issues which could have been rectified at the time, but instead only mention them 7 days after you have left the accommodation. Nor did you mention any issue with my husband's communication in fact you gave 5 out of 5 for communication. It doesn't make sense. When my cleaner arrived, she telephoned me straight away, asking me to come and see the state of the place. Yes Mari, I do have photos of just how bad it was. I am not going to respond to every point raised as we both know they are untrue. As we don't charge a cleaning fee, we ask guests to respectfully leave the gite clean and tidy and this is adhered to by 99.9% of our lovely guests. You chose not to do this and the review that was left for you was 100% accurate for future hosts to see. Your comments and insults have been duly noted and passed on to the relevant authorities. I think anybody reading your comments will see them for what they really are.

How do damage deposits work?
