The Burgundy region

Burgundy, situated between Paris and Lyon, is renowned for its wines, boasting some of the world's most prestigious vintages. The cities of Beaune and Dijon to the north host many exhibits on the different wine growing areas and historical grandeur of Burgundy.

The region is also celebrated for its castles and gastronomy, with barging along the canals also offering a pleasant and scenic way to discover Burgundy's beautiful countryside.

Sivignon

The village of Sivignon is located in the Monts du Charollais and a short drive to the winegrowing areas of Southern Burgundy and the Beaujolais.

The Hameau du Vin in nearby Romanèche-Thorins has a great wine exhibit and tasting room. The town of Cluny is at the center of the area's cultural life, with a busy musical program, weekly open-air markets and many local arts and crafts workshops.

Cycling is also a very popular to enjoy the local area.

The Charolais country to the west is renowned for its beef cattle and the town of Charolles has a tourism center and a colorful weekly open-air market.
