We LOVE our YURT! We never thought that she would be so calming and soothing. And we never thought that the insulation works so well: that even during an Andalusian hot summer it is really pleasant to stay in her. But of course, the nomads in Mongolia have been living in Yurts throughout the years and seasons and of course four layers of fabric and one of them a thick sheep flies ... This provides a strong insulation. And then, of course, our location ...
The Yurt is cuddled in our olive slope, along the river Trejo. The cliffs of the river, wonderful nesting places for numerous birds and paradise for bird lovers. The splashing of the creek, also habitat of ducks, herons, turtles, frogs, dragonflies. During the day, the chirping of birds, the sound of the leaves, the buzz of the insects. When night dawns, a sparkling, radiant firmament.
Our Yurt is a Mongolian tent covered with 4 layers of fabric. There is a cozy and large double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), cuddly cushions and blankets, a small cooker for morning coffee or tea (if one does not want to go for the communal summer kitchen), warm lighting, reading lights, and for the small visitors we are happy to prepare extra beds... on a total living area of 22 sqm.
The yurt has a small landscaped garden with terrace, its own photovoltaic system, dry toilet and washing stand. And if you want to cool off on site, you can use the garden hose or just take a shower on the nearby river beach. The communal shower under an old figue tree will have hot water all day and night long.
