The destination offers a fantastic climate all year round - on average 340 days of sunshine each year. The private pool is therefore always inviting!

The local area offers a great choice of bars, bakery, shops and restaurants (traditional Cypriot, English,Italian & Chinese) all of which stay open all year round, and are within a 5 minute stroll of the villa. Also within 200 metres is Fireman's Cove - the local beach with golden sand and crystal clear water. For the more energetic and adventurous, water sports or tennis are available locally, or a walk along the newly constructed coastal pathway where you will discover many secluded coves.

One can travel further afield - by boat to the 'ghost' town of Famagusta, or a more local boat trip to the blue lagoon to do some snorkelling.

The villa is ideally located for those who want to 'escape' and just relax, and yet close enough to Protaras and Ayia Napa to benefit from the great night life both places have to offer.

Location description from owner

The Famagusta District

Famagusta was the main port of Cyprus and is a very popular holiday resort however after the Turkish invasion in 1974 it became a ghost town.

Paralimni has been the administrative centre of the Famagusta district since the invasion. It is the districts main shopping hub offering a wide selection of shops and well worth a visit.

Protaras is the seaside resort of Paralimni which has been developed as a tourist resort in the last 20 years and is well known for its golden beaches with safe crystal clear waters with plenty on offer such as water sports and diving. Some of the best snorkeling and diving can be had off Cape Gkreko the eastern peninsular national forest park, with its secluded coves and rocky platforms, impressive cliff top views and sea caves.

Culture lovers can explore the medieval Churches found in villages like Sotira or go round the folk art museums displaying rural artefacts in Deryneia and Avgorou. The children will love the new sea museum, Thalassa, in Agia Napa, which has an amazing replica of a 4th century trading ship which sunk off the coast of Kyrenia.

Protaras

Kapparis has a good selection of restaurants and friendly bars. Supermarkets, internet cafes and shops are all within easy walking distance.

Its ideally situated with a succession of secluded coves in the shadow of towering limestone cliffs.
Fireman's beach is only a shorty stroll away, popular but quieter than many others in the area. The highly regarded Konnos Beach, generally viewed as the best beach in this area, is only 2 km away. There are also a host of 5 star P.A.D.I. diving resorts and schools located within 5 to 15 mins drive.

The lively resort of Ayia Napa is only 6km trip, with the largest water park in Europe, WaterWorld.

“Third Visit!”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2016

Just returned from our third visit to this fabulous villa. Every time we visit the owners have made some improvements and this time was no exception. The garden now has some very comfortable wicker effect furniture which came in very useful for our pre dinner drinks! This is in addition to the garden table/umbrella/chairs and sun loungers. The outside area is lovely and spacious and perfect for those relaxing days by the pool. There are also some new ceiling fans in the bedrooms which we found to be very effective and reduced the need for the air conditioning during the night. The biggest improvement (according to our two teenage daughters) was the introduction of WiFi! They enjoyed keeping in contact with their friends back home and sending them lots of photos of the clear, blue skies! We would 100% recommend this villa to anyone visiting Cyprus. You can rest assured that if any problems/queries arise they will be dealt with quickly and efficiently by the owners. When we return to Cyprus we will look no further than Villa Mimosa. Book it and try it out for yourself!

Owner's reply: Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for your VERY kind words, and also your recommendation for other prospective guests to 'look no further' than Villa Mimosa. We are so pleased you enjoyed all the improvements / additions we have made during the last year, and hope that, when you decide to return to Cyprus, you get in touch with us again! Best Wishes, Joan & Natalie.

“What a wonderful stay”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2013

I took my family away in October to Villa Mimosa, and what an amazing holiday we have had. The Villa was spotless upon arrival, very well presented, almost like a home from home. The children pretty much lived in the pool, jumping in at any given opportunity! Quiet in the evenings but still only a 3 min walk to the local shops, bars and eateries. Would have to recommend Faliros a local Cypriot restaurant serving amazing wine, no end of great service, and a fantastic selection of dishes, with many visiting from far a field to dine. only a 3 minute walk from the villa. The beach is where we spent majority of our holiday, only 300m from the villa, perfect for little ones to play for hours. The water parks are well worth a visit, much like a uk theme park, they have their own versions Anastasia for the younger (although you could take older as well) And Waterworld for all age groups... And there's no denying you'll love it too!! In Paralimni there is a host of things to entertain all the family, and the thing we wish the uk had cottoned on to, is the fact that, the restaurants have learnt, if the children are entertained... The parents can relax and unwind for longer. And if dining in sounds more your thing, then we certainly made good use of the BBQ... While the kids spent even more time in the lit up pool! So I think it's safe to say we will be back again soon!

Owner's reply: I can certainly confirm what you say about local restaurants looking after any young children - even to the extent of some providing a play area with tunnels, climbing frames etc. My own family have said exactly the same thing. Your trip on the boat to the Blue Lagoon sounded amazing - the children must have loved seeing the brightly coloured fish. I know you enjoyed staying with us last year, as you stayed with us again this year.....maybe next? Thank you. Joan.

“Lovely villa, great for relaxing holiday.”

Villa is very well positioned close to supermarkets, restaurants, bars and beach but still nice and quiet as it is situated in a residential area. Everything you could want is supplied in villa. The pool was in use every day as the temperature, not surprisingly for August, was in the mid to high 30's - wonderful! This is a very spacious villa and the two bathrooms came in very handy as we have 2 teenage daughters! Can recommend Faliros restaurant just a short stroll away - Thursday is Greek night and was very entertaining. The owners of this villa (based in England) always responded to any queries very promptly. We felt very comfortable renting from them and we hope to return in the future.

“A brilliant family holiday.”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2011

The owner made our booking very easy, even arranging taxi transfers for the 6 of us. The pool was in top notch condition my 2 grandchildren loved it . There was plenty of room in the villa for all of us This is a great place to stay. The location is great everything is on your doorstep within a few minutes, We hired a car for the latter part of our holiday just to visit other places and beaches. We all loved the pool some nice places to eat in the evening within walking distance, and the food is great. The only downside my Grandson would never let me watch the news on tv in the evening, to busy playing games on the WI but who wants to worry about back home when your having a great time.
