The Country House is located 1 km away from Paciano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, at the border between Umbria and Tuscany "The green heart of Italy".
Paciano is a small characteristic walled medieval town, the village faces the Val di Chiana and the panoramic view also takes in Lake Trasimeno. From Paciano is within easy reach Perugia, Assisi, Montepulciano, Cortona, Pienza, Siena.
The house, part of a old farm for the cultivation of tobacco that dates back to 1700, is faithfully restored, built in stone and antique brick with wooden beams and terracotta floors. Surrounded by vast fields of sunflowers, the house has two gardens with private gated entrance and parking, a nice patio and a private infinity pool.
A very romantic home, canopied beds, antique furniture, tapestries embroidered by hand, with every comfort and a supply of genuine italian food products at your arrival.

The Umbria region
The Umbria region is also known as the Italian ‘Green Heart’ due to its lush mountainous geography. The Umbrians are renowned for their olive oil and vineyards, which produce excellent wines. Many other Luxury products like Tobacco and chocolate are produced in the region. Another typical product from Umbria is the black truffle found in Valnerina, Perugia. And don’t forget the famous jazz festival in July.Rent an Umbrian villa in Spoleto, Lake Trasimeno, Todi, Citta di Castello, Umbertide or Perugia.
Paciano is a small medieval walled town with three excellent restaurants, two bars/cafes, a butcher, two mini-markets, post office and pharmacy. It also has a tennis court and children's playground.
The lakeside town of Castiglione del Lago is within a 15 minute drive. In addition to being another very picturesque medieval town it has many good restaurants and delicatessens, supermarkets and a weekly market. On its lakeside are a couple of sandy beaches and also watersports facilities, including windsurfing and canoeing.
Lake Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake in Italy and two of its islands can be reached by ferry from Castiglione del Lago. Isola Maggiore has a very small village whilst Isola Polvese is a nature reserve. There is a cycling route around the entire perimeter of the lake and many walking trails in the area. Fishing is also available.
The 9 hole Lamborghini golf course at Panicarola is 10 minutes away by car, whilst there is an 18 hole course at Perugia.
Citta della Pieve and Panicale are two more hilltop walled towns which are within a 20 minute drive from us. Citta is famous for its Palio towards the end of August.
The Trasimeno Blues festival takes place in the last week of July and most of the concerts are free.
Hardly a day passes in the summer without a market or fair being held somewhere in our area!

"Lovely house in beautiful countryside"
Lovely house in very good condition, with beautiful furnishings inside. A real home from home. Very well stocked kitchen. Fantastic pool with wonderful views. Delightful terrace with gorgeous hammock and outdoor dining and loungers. The house is one of five adjoining properties but mostly it was very quiet and we often had the pool to ourselves. We were very well taken care of at the welcome and throughout our stay. It is well located with easy access to the vineyards, lake and many historic cities.

"Beautiful house, beautiful garden, beautiful location"
This was my favourite place to stay of our whole holiday - and we covered some miles! The house is immaculate, with a gorgeous garden for eating and sitting outdoors and the pool in the middle of the sunflower fields is amazing. We couldn't have asked for more - greeted by our hosts who stayed and recommended more places than in the (already comprehensive) guide left for visitors, which took us to some lovely places to eat we would have never otherwise found. They had also stocked us up with loads of basics for food and I especially appreciated the lesson on how to make a proper coffee! There's also a rep who can help you with bookings for trips/ restaurants should you not feel confident to do it on your own (although we just phoned and hoped for the best!) Would highly recommend staying here.
