Further details outdoors

Private Patio and sunny Terrace, with close walking to the shops. Parking is close by, and quite often right outside the door, but you are fine to park in the street to unload bags ect....Everyone does :)The town does have a municiple pool open every summer, as does all the local villages, we quite often go village hopping, going to a different pool and village everyday.

Location description from owner

The Andalucia region

There are many places to visit in and around Olvera. Its a great base to explore Andalucia. Granada, Seville, Malaga, Jerez, Gibraltar, The Costa del Sol, The Costa de la Luz, and further afield Cordoba and Almeria, or the ski slopes of Almeria's Sierra Nevada.

There are lakes at Ardales just over 30mins drive and Zahara 20mins drive, both have excellent facilities.

The Costa del Sol is an hour and half away by car. Our favourite beaches are the Costa de La Luz; around an hour and half away. We love Conil de la Frontera with its huge stretches of white clean sand, perfect for the kids! Next door to Conil you have the beaches of El Palmer, a surf paradise! Further south, Tarifa is the home of the windsurfers (lessons can be arranged!) and is about 2 hours. Other nice beaches are found at Rota and the surrounding area. Picnics can be pre booked.

Olvera

Golf is within 45 mins of Olvera on good easy access roads. Antequera and Arcos de la Frontera are both within easy reach and very popular with the locals. You also have the Costa del Sol golf courses in under an hour and a half.

Car hire is recommended, although if you don’t want to drive airport transfers can be arranged. We can even arrange for you to have an evening and/or day in Ronda, Zahara or other equally lovely places; and collect you at a time of your choosing.

Airports: Malaga 90 mins by car, Granada 90 mins by car, Sevilla 90 mins by car, Jerez De La Frontera 70 mins by car, Gibraltar 120 mins by car. We can provide a number of a very reliable car hire company, no waiting at the airport!

There are churches and of course the castle to visit.
There is a abundance of bars and restaurants in Olvera.

The famous VIA VERDE (Green Walkway) starts in Olvera, its possible to do the walk on horses, or to hire a bike.
The lakes are close and Zahara has a wonderful "beach" open in summer, a man-made area with natural spring water.

Cities: Malaga 90 mins by car. Granada 90 mins by car. Sevilla 90 mins by car. Jerez De La Frontera 70 mins by car. Gibraltar 120 mins by car. Ronda 30 mins by car. Pruna 5 mins by car and 20 mins walking. ''Via Verde'' walk 38km along Green nature walkways. Moron De La frontera 30 mins by car. Campillos 30 mins. Arcos De La Frontera 45 mins by car. Jean 120 mins by car. Cordoba 90 mins by car. You can find everything you need in Olvera.

“Glorious Autumn Break”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2013

Had a week stay here and very glad we did. Lovely little town full of funny friendly people. The accommodation couldn't have been much better, with wifi internet, a cosy bed and a patio complete with a lemon tree! I was in hog heaven!

“If you want to comfortably experience life in a Spanish mountain community, try this..”

This house is well presented, clean and comfortable (we had everything we needed), well modernised, helpful local contacts - perfect base to get to know the country around. In a typical Spanish street, and with all the amenities you need in walking distance, just lovely! Patio overlooking the hillside (in the middle of town!) is perfect with a drink in the evening.

“Wonderful Andalucia visit.”

Olvera is nicely situated for easy access to Jerez, Seville, Corduba, Gibralter, Malaga, and Granada! It's not a tourist town, which we love, the people are warm and friendly and have time for you. Lemon Tree patio suited all of our requirements perfectly, kitchen, microwave, washer, a wonderful patio, TV and video. What more could you ask for?

“A charming house with lots of character”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2011

When we arrived in Olvera we were met at the bus station by the lady who looks after the house. She was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of info about the town. The house itself was really comfortable with a lovely patio and terrace. The street is very quiet but ony a few minute walk from all the shops, bars and restaurants so it is ideally placed for exploring the town.

“A traditional house full of Spanish character.”

Lemon Tree Patio was a comfortable house, with everything we needed for a short stay. The bedroom was cosy and nicely furnished. We did however find it a little cold inside the house, despite the warm outside temperature, but then we had chosen to come in December! We were very pleased to be welcomed by a kitchen well stocked with tea, coffee, milk and bread. Our arrival was very much delayed, but we were delighted to be met and shown personally to the house. We would recommend this house to a friend.

Thanks Carina, I hope you are both well :) I hope maybe this year to put in a small log burner, so hopefully you wont be cold next time, Wamrest Wishes, Zoe x

“THE SOUL OF OLVERA”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2011

I have enjoyed my stay at Lemon Tree enormously. Traditional, simple but cozy Andalusian home. Close to all commodities and main roads and yet quite. A great base to explore Los Pueblos Blancos.

“Ideal location for us in the heart of Andalucia”

We found absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful two month stay in Olvera. Situated right in town and close to resturants and pubs. Neighbours were friendly and we felt right at home.
