“Welcoming hostess and comfortable central appartment”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2013

Brigitte was most helpful even offering to collect and take us to the airport. The apartment had everything necessary for our holiday. The air conditioning was most welcome. The apartment was in a quiet street but near to all amenities so we could walk to most places. Brigitte went that extra mile to offer us a most comfortable stay offering advice on where to go and how to use the public transport. She even lent out deckchairs and beach mats. My family really enjoyed our stay in Nice.

“Perfect Place in Nice!”

We are from Canada, and had never been to France. We stayed in Brigette's holiday flat for one week in July, 2012. We could not have been happier! It is beautifully decorated, air-conditioned, comfortable with lovely linens and a gorgeous setting. All of the windows have a remote to close the blinds and block out all light if need be. The apartment is in the perfect location. The beach is literally down the street, and on route there are some fabulous restaurants. The shopping is also fantastic. We did not need a car, and we could walk or take public transit which is extremely accessible. I highly recommend to rent out this flat, and have the perfect holiday experience. If I were to come back to Nice (and I hope to some day), this is where I would stay!

“Excellent location, good facilities, good host.”

Very central flat near to the aerobus stop on the promenade and central for bus travel around the city. Close to good supermarkets on Gambetta boulevard and a short walk to the public beach. Flat was suitable for our needs and A/C was a god send due to the very hot weather!! Brigitte the owner was great and a lovely basket of goddies was waiting along with water and champagne in the fridge for our arrival. All in all a good apartment and would reccommend to friends.

“The Best Apartment Ever Rented”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2011

The owner is such a nice person; actually she is the best one we've ever met. The apartment is cozy, clean, and well-equipped which makes us feel at home. We can find everything we need and also some surprise beyond our expectation, such as a basket of snack, bottles of mineral water in the refrigerator...HOW SWEET! We'd definitely choose the place again and also introduce to our friends.

“Excellent location, clean and comfortable, but may be noisy"”

We are a family of 5, with three teens. This apt fits us nicely. The apt's strongest point is its location. It's one block from the beach and about 1km from downtown. There are so many shops and restaurants nearby, the selection is endless. When we showed up to check in at the agreed upon time, the host wasn't available. We had to call the manager (in the US) and then waited about 15 min for a back-up host to check us in. It wasn't a big deal but, after a long day of driving from Paris, it could have been better. When we were there (Nice) in mid July, the weather was beautiful -- warm in the sun, but cool in the shade. It's a good thing because we couldn't get either of the two A/Cs to work. We got it to blow air, but it wasn't cool. It turns out that the A/Cs weren't necessary, the apt was well ventilated and it actually gets cold in the evening. The host kept insisting that the A/C works, so I could be wrong (FYI: I'm an electrical engineer). One thing about Nice and open windows is that there are mosquitoes. On the other hand, even had the AC worked, I would have still open the windows for the fresh air and take my chances. Noise. Those two windows in the bedrooms? They're about a few arm lengths from the high-rise that's being built next door. Construction starts around 8-ish and doesn't end until at least afternoon. Today, the view from those windows is lovely. Once the other building is up, I'm not sure you will even get sunlight. All in all, even with hindsight, I would do it again. However, once the next-door building is completed and you lose the view and cross-wind, I'd think about it some more.
