Loved every second, perfect little spot for 2 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Hopefully be back next year ♡

“A beautiful, well appointed cottage.”

Ideally located to explore the Gower Peninsula. The beaches along the Gower coast were spectacular. Plenty of information in the cottage regarding suitable walks for all ages.

“Beautiful location and lovely cottage”

We had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage was warm and welcoming and within easy reach of all amenities whilst being tucked away. Chris made us welcome and came and saw us to check everything was ok. The weather wasn't great but it was January, however as a base it was perfect and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility whilst having every thing you needed. Thank you for a perfect break.

“Excellent cottage and location.”

Beautiful cottage, clean and warm. The location was ideal for our needs as we were visiting friends and family in the area. We certainly will use this cottage again.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the positive review! Hope we see you again!

“great location - lovely holiday home - very friendly owners.”

The owners welcomed us and gave us some great tips about which beaches were good to visit once they had asked us what we were interested in doing. They had a particularly cute 4 month old puppy which our children loved and they were very patient with our children - they would love a dog but their dad wont allow it. They advised us of the local annual boat race being done in that week - we would have missed it and it was quite fun to watch so we were very grateful for their advice. The home has character and is very pleasant to stay in especially when the Welsh rain appears and doesn't know when to leave. There is plenty to do locally and we would recommend a visit to the mumbles - as there are a number of celebrities there - Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas have a home away from the front and the locals are very approachable and friendly and rightly proud of where they live

“I wish I owned this holiday home - the location and finish are excellent”

We spent 1 week at Riversdale - family of three. The cottage was immaculate, the decor is very calming and the quality of the internal oak fittings were amazing. There is a little stream nearby you can hear from the bedroom in the morning. Cottage has all mod cons. Our weather was too wet to bbq but this could have been nice outside. Chris is a very pleasant host and I enjoyed my cycle into Mumbles on his recommendation along the coast path. Chris - if you ever intend to sell Riversdale, let me know....

“Beautiful, calm and peaceful.”

Fantastic all round, many thanks to Chris for his thoughtfulness also the attention to detail that makes Riversdale such a restful place. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip down memory lane after 29 years.

“Excellent comfortable, cosy & quiet accomodation in a beautiful area of South Wales”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2013

The cottage is excellent. It is very modern, well equipped and very suitable to travelling couples although it will accommodate up to 4 people. It is situated in a quiet residential area of Mumbles with no more than a 5-10 minute stroll to the huge Swansea Bay. The cottage is a completely separate part of the owners Chris and Sarah's property who may I add were superb hosts for which nothing was too much trouble. One of the reasons we chose Riversdale Cottage was its actual location and we were richly rewarded.. It is ideally situated to explore the absolutely delightful Gower Peninsula with its beautiful coastline & beaches. There are also a number of beautiful country parks nearby i.e Clyne Valley, Gnoll, Margam and Afan Forest. Should you wish to venture a little further than why not try the Brecon Beacons or the delightful Tenby. I have no reservation at all in recommending Riversdale Cottage and although we never usually return to the same area or holiday accommodation we may make an exception with Riversdale Cottage and the Gower. Thanks once again to Chris and Sarah for their hospitality.

“A fabulous little cottage, would recommend it to anyone!”

Fantastic luxury accommodation in a great location. Chris and his wife were really friendly and helpful. We immediately felt a real sense of warmth from them both and nothing was too much trouble. Our little boy loved the whole experience and regarded Chris as his friend! The best self catering accommodation we have stayed in by far squeaky clean and beautifully fitted! We will be back!
