This is a perfect base for exploring the Port de Soleil Ski Area in both summer and winter but is also great to park the car up and ski/walk The views from the apartment are spectacular so you can enjoy being in the mountains whether you are in or out of the apartment. Local shops and restaurants/bars are a short walk away and Morzine a 10 minute drive. Skiing to and from the apartment is easy and for families with older children the resort is safe and convenient for them to have some independence. The kitchen is fully equipped and the apartment is warm and comfortable if a night in is needed after a hard day's skiing. A car is highly recommended if you want to go further afield but the navette to the village of St Jean D'Aulps is efficient and from there the ski bus to Morzine and the pretty village of Les Gets is convenient.
The Apartment is comfortably equipped to make your stay enjoyable. The kitchen has all that is necessary to prepare meals if you wish and supermarkets are in easy reach. A small convenience store is open in the ski season within walking distance.
One bedroom has a double bed with a Single Bunk over (see photos). Please be advised that the Bunk is not suitable for children under 6 years. There are wardrobes/cupboards in each bedroom with a large cupboard in the hall for your ski gear. However, please leave skis / snowboards etc on the balcony.
In good conditions it is possible to ski from and to the apartment otherwise a short walk to the telecabine is required. La Grande Terche has approximately 34 km of piste and several mountain restaurants. Suitable for all ages and abilities it has a ski school ( ESF ) and plenty of ski equipment hire shops.
Within a 10 minute drive you can park up next the chair lofts/gondola/telecabine and be whisked into heart of the Porte De Soleil ski area and discover over 450km of piste for all abilities.
In summer the resort is great base for walking and climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, parapenting, sailing and kayaking. Within easy reach are beaches at Lake Montriond and Thonon-Le-Bains. There is a modern outdoor swimming pool at Morzine and restaurants and shops at Morzine and Les Gets where you will also find a Golf course.
Further afield is the beautiful Annecy and its Lake where you can take a boat ride or hire a vessel if you are so inclined ! Annecy is known as The Venice of the Alps and it is easy to see why when you take a walking tour of the old town
There is so much to do in addition to Skiing it easy to see why once you have holidayed in Haute Savoie you will be coming back again and again!
