Description from owner

Description

Once the oldest house on the north side of the Pleney mountain, Chalet Roc has undergone a total renovation bringing it from 1956 to the current day. The exterior has been described by architects as 'one of the most interesting buildings in Morzine' and the interior showcases ultra-modern clean design.

Chalet Roc invites you to curl up by the fireplace on our comfortable sofas. The open-plan living area provides the perfect setting for a party or après-ski drink. With the concertina doors fully opening from the lounge onto a large balcony. Once a week it is possible to see the Pleney fireworks or ski shows from here.

Chalet Roc is perfectly situated in central Morzine and is in easy walking distance to all Morzine restaurants, bars, cafés and nightclubs. It is also far enough from the inner-central of loud bars and clubs so you get a peaceful sleep.

“A fabulous chalet in a great location close to ski lifts”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2014

We stayed here as two families with children ranging from 4-9. The chalet was amazing, very modern with great views into Morzine and views of the Pleney Slope. The chalet was short of nothing, lovely and warm and very comfortable. Morzine was brilliant for family skiing as we're were all beginners. We would recommend this chalet to anyone.

“very good indeed”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2013

a very very nice chalet, superbly located for lifts and town centre (although bit close to main road) . very well equipped and decorated, and louisa (owner) is an absolute pleasure to deal with. 10 would be a tight squeeze (unless couple kids are in the party), but for 7-8 adults it is perfect. highly reccommended.

“Great, fun modern chalet”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2013

All mod cons, comfy beds, hot monsoon showers, love the coffee machine and convenient ski to across the road.

“Luxurious and Practical!”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2013

Chalet Roc provided us with the perfect base for our Morzine trip. Walking into the chalet on the first day really set the tone for the whole holiday; the house is beautifully decorated with a classic, contemporary style. The rooms are all spacious and everything well laid out. Whether we were walking to the ski lift or in to town for an evening meal, everything was easily accessible and meant that we didn’t need to use our car for the whole week. We plan to return to Chalet Roc soon and will certainly be recommending it to our family and friends.

“Fantastic Family Skiing Trip In this Lovely House.....Recommended AA+”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2012

3 Families drove to Morzine from Surrey and stayed at this completely renovated Chalet...House !! We have always gone Club med before so wasnt sure about self catering but it was great. The owners were absolutely brilliant and provided everything we needed before we arrived......best eateries best instructor best slopes etc. We had everything we needed and the Chalet was just up the hill from the village and lifts. We chose to drive down as there were so many of us and there is a car park just under the lifts.....PERFECT. I thought Morzine & "Chalet Roc" were brilliant and cannot wait to go back to "Chalet Roc" again in the new Year.

“Modern, stylish and clean”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2012

Owners are full of local knowledge on the best places to ski/eat/relax which lessened the research - there is lots going on in Morzine and they really make an effort to keep families amused. Chalet Roc is very modern, clean and well equipped - the kitchen has everything needed to cook up a storm (we did Christmas lunch there). Washing machine was well-used for our two young and messy daughters. Family games night and watching the massive TV good after a day on the pistes, although some beanbags and throws would make a good addition to the seating area on a cold evening. Great location, easy to find near the centre of Morzine, although the 500m seems a long way when carrying tired children, skis, poles etc... we will consider a trolley or sledge on our next trip unless the owners can get one.

“Loved it, will definitely be back again soon!”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2012

Morzine is a great ski destination, with loads of runs, good bars, restaurants etc and this was the first time we had visited. Only downside is the fact you have to get the little transfer from one side of the mountain to the other (train). The facilities at the property are great, with a communal dining table; office space/kids hideout; good location (ski to just over the road). The décor is great as well, modern and high quality.

“A luxurious and well-positioned chalet from which to explore the mountains”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2012

My family and I stayed at Chalet Roc for a fortnight in the summer and thoroughly enjoyed the vast accommodation on offer and its location right in the heart of Morzine. The chalet is perfectly located to explore Morzine on foot as it's about a 2-3 minute walk from the town-centre shops/ bars/ restaurants and Pleney ski-lifts (most of which are open all summer). If you come by car it is equally convenient being on the North-west edge of the town-centre so quick and easy to pop out to Les Gets or Lake Montriond without having to negotiate town-centre traffic. If you come for winter skiing you won't need a car or have to worry about squeezing onto shuttle-buses!

“Chalet Roc - Rocks!”

Reviewed 11 Nov 2012

Chalet Roc was totally renovated in 2011 which was done to a very high standard. It has a great feel and warmth to it which makes you feel at home. It is in a great location close to the centre of Morzine and to the lifts. This chalet has everything you could ask for and more. I would highly recommend a stay in this chalet.
