Difficile de répondre à tout mais je vais essayer d’aller à l’essentiel. Personne ne s'est jamais plaint de notre literie qui a été contrôlée lors du classement des gîtes. Néanmoins nous avons prévu de changer le sommier concerné même si celui-ci n'a que 3 ans (et personne ne s'en est plaint !) et de recontrôler la literie en fin de saison comme nous le faisons pour tous les équipements. Pour la nuit des rideaux ont été installés afin de ne pas avoir utilisé les volets en bois qui bien restaurés sont d'origine et participent au cachet de l'habitation. Comme partout à la campagne, nous avons de tas de bois mais ceux-ci ne sont pas en équilibres précaires et il n’y a pas de planches mais un caillebotis en bois qui protège l’accès à un dégraisseur, justement pour éviter tout risque. Pour l'internet suite aux orages en juillet, de nombreux foyers ont été coupés en Dordogne et le service d'Orange s'est dégradé mais cela reste ponctuel mais bien entendu on n’a pas le même débit en Dordogne à la campagne qu'en ville ! Concernant le routeur, hors période d’orages ou nous le coupons par sécurité ce que j’indique à mes locataires, celui-ci reste allumé tout le temps. En ce qui concerne la sociabilité, nous essayons de rester discrets mais à l'écoute de nos locataires. Quand ceux-ci arrivent tard et que nous n’avons pas d’heure arrivée, nous leur préparons un apéritif au frigo car en général les gens sont fatigués après un long voyage. Pour l’état des lieux, il est détaillé mais pas plus que de normal et je n’ai jamais demandé au client de compter les fourchettes et les couteaux. Quand je contrôle un gîte après le départ d’un locataire, c’est avant tout pour m’assurer qu’il est bien équipé et qu’il ne manquera rien. Pour le reste, nos clients sont en général contents de notre accueil. Il est vrai que ce client, ayant un grand sens du détail (la longueur de cet avis en témoigne), est venu nous voir la première semaine tous les jours pour se plaindre de petits choses que d'autres auraient trouvés insignifiantes et j’ai traité au fur et à mesure toutes ces demande mais au bout d’un moment, cela ne pousse pas à la convivialité (frigo chargé à plein qui ne refroidissait pas assez vite pour le locataire et immédiatement remplacé par un autre, transat dont un boulon était desserré et qui a été changé, pour la pile de l'horloge je l'aurai changeait si le locataire me l'avait signalé …)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Christian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
