Puffin Pod is a lovely uniquely designed Tiny-House for a couple or single traveller.

Stunning beach / sea views and romantic sunsets over Scarista Beach. It it is peacefully situated off the main road A859, making it perfect for walkers, surfers, hikers and cyclists’ maybe adventuring the Hebridean Way.

Puffin is conveniently situated in Northton, on the exquisite South West coast of Harris, with incredible vista’s over turquoise seas, spectacular beaches and blue imposing mountains of North-Harris' hills.

From Puffin you can walk easily (5 min.) to Northton’s five silver shell-sand beaches & Scarista beach, or walk up Cheapabhal/Maodal hills, for breathtaking views.

If a trip to St. Kilda, or the Shiants, is on your bucket list, you might observe real Puffins. Abundant wildlife is at your doorstep, Harris is a birdwatcher’s paradise: eagles/gannets/fulmars/terns/oystercatchers/corncrakes.

The Tiny House includes: small kitchen with 4 gas-hob, combi microwave/oven, kettle, toaster, fridge, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans. It has a good quality bed 140x200cm, en-suite shower room with wash-basin/toilet. Enjoy lovely sunsets at the beach, or gaze from your panoramic window. The house is tastefully designed with artwork and driftwood.

Puffin Pod is warm, clean and comfortable with a touch of luxury, just a perfect base for a relaxing Hebridean stay!

Dog on request only. Dog Policy: If you wish to bring your sweet and well behaved/trained small or medium sized dog, please enquire first. Please bring your dog's own bed, dog-towels and keep him/her strictly off the bed, sofa and chairs. Dog fee is £10 per night. There is a large garden so please pick up and keep the dog on the lead. On arrival we request a Good Housekeeping Deposit of £60 in cash, which will be returned on departure, in the same envelope, if the house is left as you found it.

Please before you enquire, look at photo's and e-mail or call us directly! Directions: From Stornoway, follow signs to Tarbert. From Tarbert take the coastal road west, coming from the ferry don't go for Stornoway, but up the steep hill left, don't branche off, stay on the main road A598. When you have past Scarista, you'll see signs for Seallam and Northton (Taobh Tuath /Gaelic). Branche off to the right. We are halfway the village, just past the telephone box, you'll see a sign Beachview cottages at the gate. Arrival: after 15.00, please e-mail your ETA and inform us when running late please by phone . Please park at our house (red roof), we will be there to welcome you, and give you the key and wifi codes.

Why can't I call Naomi (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Naomi (the owner) a message.

If Naomi (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
