“We were blown away by the beauty and tranquility of this French farmhouse.”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2014

Booking our stay at La Danvoliere was simple and easy. Our holiday required little planning as the owners of the property provided us with all the information we needed about the farmhouse as well as the local area. The farmhouse itself was beautiful especially the bedrooms which were very spacious and all individual with lovely finishing touches. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and again spacious. The outdoor pool was a huge hit with our children who spent every spare moment in it. We loved the peaceful location but also enjoyed family days out. During our stay we visited the historic towns of Feugeres, St Malo and Dinard as well as Ange Michael where we discovered an excellent theme park for the children. A highly recommended holiday for all the family.

“Lovely house with lots to do”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2014

A very good house with plenty of room for the five children in our party to spend time indoors on a rainy day. The kids loved the bikes in the games and spent hours on end cycling with minimal supervision because the house is located on a secure site with minimal traffic. There is also lots to see in surrounding towns. Fougeres castle and town are a definate must see.

“Fantastic place to stay!”

La Danvoliere is a great place to stay with all the home comforts you require. The barn has been beautifully renovated and is set in pituresque countryside. We had an old man and children with us and the barn was suitable for all ages, from having a barbecue in the evenings or cooling down in the pool. There are lots of local places to visit and St. Malo is not too far away. A wonderful holiday!

“An excellent holiday accommodation with home from home comforts set in beautiful countryside”

Many 'easy to reach' picturesque attractions for young and old. The 'Ange Michel' theme park is a real treat for younger children Good quality restaurants and supermarkets are all within easy reach The people in the area are very friendly.

“Lovely house.”

Everything was clean and tidy. We had lots of fun in the pool and playing table tennis. It was an excellent holiday!

“Tres Bien - The best of France”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2012

Stayed at Danvoliere for 4 nights with my girlfriend. It is an area I know well and it is a very relaxing place to spend a break. We had several trips around the local area and enjoyed coming back to the Barn house to the log fire and a bottle of Red.

“An excellent property for a relaxing holiday”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2012

La Danvoliere is a very well appointed and spacious barn conversion set in quiet countryside. The sheltered patio is ideal for a sunny breakfast or lazy afternoon. Plenty of pretty towns, villages and countryside to visit in the region. Superb market on Wednesday in St HIlaire du Harcouet (c25 km) and local Super U has a brilliant fish counter.

“Great place, excellent facilities”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2012

The home is well equipped and tastefully decorated. It is spacious and in a quite rural location. Supermarkets are only a few minutes drive away, and there is loads to see in the area.

“Fantastic property, lovely location”

Reviewed 6 Dec 2011

What a beautiful barn conversion - spacious, 4 bedrooms, huge lounge & kitchen. I have stayed in a lot of self catering holiday homes in the past & this is up there with the best & the kitchen is the best equipped yet. The surrounding area is excellent with lots to do - the Medieval towns of Fougeres & Vitre are great and its a lovely trip to Mount De St Michel and St Malo. Great value too.

“Beautiful Barn, lovely area!”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2011

Service was very good, with people easy to contact if there was a problem or if we had a question. The property was lovely, in a beautiful quiet location, and had a good range of facilities- such as a bbq, table tennis table, bikes and football table (however, they could do with being better maintained, as could the pool.) The local village of Levare has a bakery which sells excellent produce; and in the town of Gorron, there are bars, restaurants, and supermarkets - both Levare and Gorron are within easy reach. A welcome pack was available on our arrival, with bread, wine, beer and cheese.
