La Danvoliere
A great place to stay

Brilliant find - great value, Quiet, great facilities and condition. Easy visits - Fougeres, Ernee, Mayenne, Domfront and others...all with a chateau or church or gallery or park to visit....lunch out and then back to 'home' to swim, relax or play table tennis. Try the Velo-rail (10km away at Ambrieres Les Vallees) or ask at the local Mairie to use the village tennis courts in Saint Berthevin la Tanniere! Herce, Gorron and Levare have everything you could need for food and drink. Market days in region good. Mont St Michel about 1hr 15 away if you want to get onto the main tourist routes...but staying here we didn't need to. Only thing to check is the traffic if you are driving down - sometimes the Pont du Normandie can be busy so finding an alternative route can be a good idea. Happy to recommend after a fun and relaxing week.see more
