“Beautiful, Cosy French Cottage” We booked 'Our Cosy French Cottage' for 2 weeks as a base for our first holiday in France with our Westie. We arrived late because of a delay with the Le Shuttle and were welcomed by Jan and Duncan, who very kindly went through everything in the cottage and had a lovely welcome package of bread, eggs, butter, cheese, milk, wine and cider along with tea, coffee and sugar for a much needed brew!
The cottage was very clean, tidy and had a lovely traditional French feel about it because of all the little touches and decoration. There are loads of games, books and DVD's to choose from and the use of the garden should you wish to do so.
We had a lovely quiet and peaceful 2 weeks at Our Cosy Cottage and would thoroughly recommend the cottage...it was really nice meeting Jan and Duncan and we hope to be back again before too long!
An absolute treasure of a place to find with incredibly hospitable and generous hosts set in a beautiful, quiet and relaxing area of France.
An ideal place to stay for families or cyclists. The gite is roomy and has everything you could possibly need down to kitchen appliances, entertainment for all and washing facilities.
The location is minutes away from all sorts of interesting places, from beautiful towns to historical landmarks. This place has it all!
And what can be said about the super hosts Jackie and Neil. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They shared great places of interest, kept us in supply of fresh eggs by their hens and provided us with welcoming food supplies on arrival - particularly important as arriving late on Saturday with most shops closed on Sunday.
I can't say enough about this great place to stay. We only wished we had stayed longer as one week us not enough to see all that this area has to offer.
Our kids loved the pool, the swings, the trampoline and the various games that Jackie provided when we had a rare cooler day.
We have been holidaying in France for quite a few years now but this gorgeous gite along with Jackie and Neil have made it special and one of the best holidays we have had. …
CLOSE TO CHATEAU LA MOTTE HUSSON, English host . Beautifully renovated gîte
Perfect escape for a holiday
Down a country road, past the dairy farm is this wonderful Gite. Nestled into a soft green glen, and the only sounds are running stream and birds. The two story two bed room Gite is a spaceous size, and fitted out with every comfort of a lovely home. We had a warm welcome from our host and throughly enjoyed our weeks stay. We will be recommending this lovely cottage to friends who are planning holidays in France. …
La Rebourgéré Near Normandy
Lovely property in a beautiful and peaceful location.
The property was clean and tidy and had a very good snooker table and an excellent swimming pool. We really enjoyed our barbeques dining outside with a lovely view of the lake (which is great for fishing). It is an exceptional place for a family holiday and we highly recommend it. …
Lovely Stone Cottage
Lovely stone cottage lives up to its name! We found it very peaceful and relaxing, in part because the village is so sleepy, but also because there is no tv or internet so the place encourages you to unwind.
The house is well appointed and deceptively spacious - adding up all the beds and sofa beds we figured that you could actually sleep 11! The adjacent garden is over a very quiet road and is basic but pleasant with a picnic bench and place to park a car. There were lots of games, a few books and a guitar and drum in the cottage when we stayed which was a nice touch and definitely got used.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. …
