Description

If you're looking for a holiday home furnished to a high standard with a contemporary feel then we think Tickle Cottage is just for you. A great standard of property with a sprinkle of those homely touches to make your stay welcoming and comfortable from the moment you arrive.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms with 5 beds, an open plan living/dining area and a patio overlooking a pretty split level communal area which is beautifully lit as the evenings turn in to night. A perfect area for little ones to play safely while being overlooked by the older ones who can relax on the garden furniture while flipping steaks on the brick built BBQ!

Located on 5 miles of fantastic blue flag beach, The Bay in Fliley is the perfect location to explore the surrounding coastal areas, villages and historical centre's of Yorkshire!

No dogs upstairs...Absolutely NO all girl/boy parties like bachelor /hen parties..No late night noise...we will have it nice so please respect the place. thanks Lynne

“Tickle cottage The Bay”

Filey is our favourite place and we visit several times a year. We love staying at the bay with all it has to offer and particularly now with the refurbishment and new facilities on site. It’s the first time we’ve stayed at Tickle cottage and can definitely say we will be returning as it’s a lovely place to stay meeting all our needs.

This was our 5th year in a row at Tickle Cottage and this was just as amazing as all the others! Lovely cottage with everything you would need and a perfect location Will be back again next year can’t wait!

“Lovely holiday home”

We stayed at tickle cottage 3 days in May 2018. We had a great stay accommodation lovely clean , modern and spacious . The only slight negative was the broken x2 out door chairs I think they have been out for winter and just deteriorated . Did not stop us eating outside though . Beach is approx 10 minutes walk through The Bay holiday complex the last little bit is a bit steep if you struggle with mobility. The cottage is South facing so gets the evening sun on the back which is lovely . Thank you to Sally the owner for letting out the home. We hope to return in the future .

Yes we are aware of the chairs which is a continuous problem, we have ordered a new picnic bench which will be delivered in June, hopefully this will be a more sturdy alternative for the guests. “Beautiful family break”

Had an amazing time here! 3 children in tow,16, 8 and 2 who all had a wonderful time. Filey beach was beautiful and just a ten minute walk. The cottage was immaculately clean and has everything you could possibly need and more! The kids loved playing all the games. The only downside was the onsite pub. Waited over an hour for food and when it arrived it was cold. We cooked at the cottage for the rest of the holiday and it was perfect. Gym and pool were lovely. Loved it and will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful stay

Tickle cottage is delightful! Set in an mazing location, the cottage is beautifully decorated, and wonderfully equipped including complimentary slippers. After a day out enjoying the fresh sea air we snugged down for an evening of nibbles, a few glasses of vino and Xfactor with the children. Cosy night! The beds are so comfortable, the bathroom luxurious we wanted to move in! The facilities are good too ,we went for a family swim the next morning, and i had a sauna! A really realxing break. Thnak you

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send LYNNE (the owner) a message.

If LYNNE (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
