The lookout cottage is a beautifully designed luxury 2 bedroom detached cottage with stunning sea views from the upstairs balcony. The cottage is situated at the prestigious North Yorkshire Coast holiday village 'The Bay'. An award winning large sandy beach is within 5 minutes walking distance

Guests have free use of the shared heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, newly refurbished gym tennis court and other leisure facilities and shared gardens surrounding the property. The Bay also has its own public house serving good quality food and drink, They Bayside Kitchen serving coffee and snacks through the day. The pharmacy on site stocks some basic goods.

The Lookout cottage shares a large grassed garden area with neighbouring properties and there is even a Boules court close by. We offer arrivals on Monday's for 4 or 7 nights and Friday for 3 or 7 nights. Any other required days please ask before booking.

All stays include bedding and towels as well as exceptional cleaning. The house features: Entrance hall and cloakroom with luxury downstairs WC. Lounge/Kitchen / Dining – a generous open plan lounge/kitchen/dining with a fully fitted contemporary style kitchen with all integrated appliances and dining area with spacious dining table and seating for 5 people. Bifold patio doors lead onto the furnished patio with outdoor seating surrounded by a large shared garden and landscaped grounds.

The Master bedroom - has a double bed, drawer unit and TV mounted on the wall as well as a large wardrobe The second bedroom - generous sized triple bedroom, with bunks and a single bed, wardrobe and side table. The bathroom is a family bathroom with a shower over bath, WC and heated towel rail - ideal for drying your clothes after a day at the pool or beach. We supply a cot and highchair

We are experiences hosts and have a further two three bedroom cottages nearby on the Bay.

We live around 30 miles away but always at the end of the phone or available to answer any message should you have queries or require help. Why can't I call Victoria (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Victoria (the owner) a message.

If Victoria (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
