Rockpool house is a beautifully designed luxury 3 bedroom end terrace cottage and is situated at the prestigious North Yorkshire Coast holiday village 'The Bay'.

An award winning large sandy beach is within walking distance approx. 15 mins

Guests have free use of the shared heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, newly refurbished gym tennis court and other leisure facilities and shared gardens surrounding the property.

The Bay also has its own public house serving good quality food and drink, They Bayside Kitchen serving coffee and snacks through the day. In peak season it opens on an evening and serves pizza The pharmacy on site stocks some basic goods.

Rockpool house shares a large grassed garden area with neighbouring properties and there is even a Boules court close by.

All stays include bedding and towels as well as exceptional cleaning.

The house features: Entrance hall and cloakroom with luxury downstairs WC. Lounge/Kitchen / Dining – a generous open plan lounge/kitchen/dining with a fully fitted contemporary style kitchen with all integrated appliances and dining area with spacious dining table and seating for 6 people. Double patio doors lead onto the furnished patio with outdoor seating surrounded by a large shared garden and landscaped grounds.

Downstairs double bedroom - generous sized double , wardrobe and side table. The Master bedroom - has a king size bed, drawer unit and TV mounted on the wall as well as a large wardrobe and an ensuite shower and WC. Twin bedroom - generous sized twin bedroom, wardrobe and side table. The bathroom is a family bathroom with a shower over bath, cabinet, WC and heated towel rail - ideal for drying your clothes after a day at the pool or beach.

Our house offers a long wheelchair entrance ramp which is ideal for prams/pushchairs. We supply a cot and highchair

Very disappointed to read this review. The lady used the excuse she could not make her VRBO payment and it was a fault at VRBO. When I offered to cancel the reservation at no cost to herself and take the booking direct she told me they could not stay due a family bereavement. I was away on holiday at the time she contacted me, I went out of my way to find the VRBO contact details as mine we at home, spent time talking her through making the payment. At no point was i rude quiet the opposite. I explained as the booking was with VRBO not direct she would need to speak to them. They most definitely verified with visa they take 1000's of payments. All an excuse not to stay. If she had just explained the family situation it was no problem to cancel. Not sure where she got prices from as they were not changed when she cancelled. Why can't I call Victoria (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You’ll need to contact Victoria (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Victoria (the owner) a message.

If Victoria (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
