Poppy and Steve would like to welcome you to La Petite Maison.
This stone built cottage in a delightful location sits in an acre of garden set with flower borders, fruit and nut trees. We live on site and are on hand for any questions or queries.
The house has an equipped kitchen area with, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer toaster, kettle, table and chairs. The lounge area has a woodburner stove for the colder months, a double bed settee which can be used for additional guests. There is English TV, DVD player and DVD's for your use, WIFI is available. The floor is tiled and the ceilings have beams throughout. This looks out over the gardens.
There are stairs leading to the first floor bedroom which has laminate flooring. The room is furnished with a king size bed, bedside cabinets and drawers, Velux window to the roof look out over the garden and there is another window to the side .
There is a shower room with walk in shower, hand wash basin and toilet.
Outside there is a patio area where you can sit to eat or you are free to use the garden. Towels included.
To the side there is a Hot Tub which is at your disposal, This has a retractable canopy over which you have the choice of using or not.

There is plenty of car parking space either outside the gite or on the drive.
Motorcyclists would be most welcome. We have facilities to park motorcycles inside and a full workshop should there be any problems, and space to dry your clothes if needed. The Normandy countryside around us offers great touring roads . If you are coming by motorcycle we can also arrange day ride routes for you for an extra charge and if you are riding a classic bike we can arrange pick up and delivery back to port and also accompanied rides. We have trailers to accommodate this. This also would incur an extra charge. If you are interested please contact Steve for further information.
Our delightful location is peaceful and relaxing with many attractions within easy reach. We are an hour from the port at Caen and the D Day landing beaches, 4-5 hours from Eurotunnel. The medieval town of Domfront is a15 minute drive and Mont St Michel is around 1.5 hours. Vire and Flers are 20 mins and the nearest supermarket is a 10 minute drive, whilst there is a bakery 5 mins away. The area is steeped in History and the birthplace of William the Conqueror, an impressive castle is Falaise, is a pleasant 1.5 hour drive.
If you like walking or cycling there are many tracks and cycle routes within easy reach of us.
We offer bookings from midweek to midweek to take into account the lower ferry fares, Or a minimum of 3 days at a time, but we are flexible.
