ALWAYS ASK FOR AVAILABILITY, all the apartments have different rates which depend mainly on their size and location at the house. You can check rates on the rates field and we will send you the right link for each apartment. The rate you see on this page refers only to Lavender apartment.

Located a few minutes from the Old Town and the centre of Funchal, Quinta Esperança, a traditional Hotel in the early 20´s was turned now into self catering apartments. It offers you a very quiet, calm and peaceful holiday, enjoying or the terrace with a superb view over the harbor or any corner of the gardens and pool.

The apartments are very private and totally equipped, all with bathroom and kitchenette. Privacy and quietness, is the main thing we want to preserve in this house, not having the feel of staying in a Hotel, but a truly 'Home to Home'... .

If you take a few minutes reading our reviews, they will give you an entire idea of how it is like. Our guests are absolutely happy for finding our place and positively surprised on their arrival...hope you will be too.

ORCHID apartment:

Located at the top floor of the house just beside the archad`s terrace, was carefully renewed. It is separated from the common terrace by some doors, so your privacy is assured. It enjoys a breathtaking view over the city and harbor. It has it's own balcony, with a table and chairs for you to enjoy your meals outside. Inside the apartment , you have a lot of space and lots of light, as it has 3 big windows, all them with a fantastic view over the sea and city. It is equipped with a king bed size (1, 60 m), very comfortable mattress, wonderful pillows, which will make your rest longer than you thought. The kitchinet is equipped with everything you may need for your stay, including a big fridge. The bathroom inside the apartment, is also spacey and looks very nice, as you can see through the pictures. As 'Orchid' is located on the second floor of the building, you must be sure you are well fitted to get there (2nd floor), as the access is only through some exterior stairs outside.

ROSE APARTMENT:

It is a separated apartment, with PRIVATE POOL located on the same building but on the back side of the house.

It is not an open space as all the others, as it has a separated bedroom, separated kitchen, bathroom, loundge and dinning area. It is totally equipped with double bed in the bedroom, sofa bed for two in the living room, air conditioning, dish washer, private porch outside, PRIVATE POOL, and private garden...Of course our guests staying here, can also enjoy and use the terrace up there and the common pool for everyone.

JASMIM, MAGNOLIA and LAVENDER:

These 3 apartments (all open plans) are located on the ground floor, facing South. They are all independent, with their size around 30sqm. Each one has with its own living and dining room area, bed room area, kitchinet, and separated bathroom. All the equipments are very modern, as everything was carefully thought with all details, good taste, and above all, comfort. They all connect directly to the gardens, where you will find a table and chairs, deckchair with sun umbrella, for you to enjoy your leisure moments outside.

Although being very similar, rates for these apartments vary according to their size. Even though , they are all totally well equipped and decorated in a very good and tasty way offering you a pleasant and comfortable stay

Pool, garden, terrace, laundry :

In the gardens,we offer you some comfortable furniture where you can just seat and relax, while reading a book, by the pool, or elsewhere in the gardens......Each apartment is provided with a table and chairs outside, for delicious meals during your stay; also deckchair with sun umbrella. The terrace upstairs with a magnificent view, offers you a special moment while watching the cruises coming and leaving....With a large wireless system, you can work at your lap top (or tablet) outside the apartments, on the gardens or even by the pool.....The pool is for the exclusive use of our guests, as no one else lives at the property.....The swimming pool area is provided with deckchairs, chairs, table and sun umbrella, for each couple.....We have a separated utility room with washing machine, dryer, iron, iron table, etc, for your commodity. In this place, you can also keep your empty luggage during your stay.

Barbecue: we offer a small barbecue, that can be moved to wherever you prefer. It works with coal, which we don´t provide, but you can easily get it in the local supermarket.

Knowing the Island - we also have another property in Santo da Serra, Calheta and Porto Santo; so, in case you are staying for two weeks or more, you can enjoy staying one of them in another part of the Island; this will give you the chance to better explore other views. They are all very nice and comfortable properties.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
