Description from owner

Description

The Forge, Flempton is located in the beautiful Lark Valley, situated very close to Thetford Forest (within easy walking distance) superb for walks, hiking and cycling. The West Stow Anglo Saxon Village is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive away, as is the beautiful Fullers Mill Garden. The historic town of Bury St Edmunds is just 4 miles away and provides a superb array of restaurants and places to visit.

The Forge has just about everything you could need, making it an excellent place to stay whilst looking for a job, working on short term contracts or a place to buy in the future. House keeping can be organised so you do not even need to worry about the cleaning or the washing. The only thing you need to bring is your food and drink. The kitchen is fully fitted with an array of cooking tools should you want to stay in. The garden is very quiet with wooden steamers where you can put your feet up and enjoy the sunshine and in the evening you can make use of the gas BBQ and listen to the bird song.

Of course, if you would rather see a little more action, then a 10 minute drive gets you to the centre of the historic city of Bury St Edmunds, full of wonderful places to visit including the cathedral and the Abbey Gardens. The town also offers a wealth of great restaurants for those who wish to eat out, whilst having all the large supermarkets on the towns outskirts for those wishing to eat in.

The town also has a theatre, the Apex - which holds regular bands and events. The are numerous pubs, including the smallest in Britain - The Nutshell. There are also a number of great village pubs are close at hand.

“Superbe, exactement comm décrit. Tout fonctionner, confort++”

Rien à dire c'était extra! N'oublie pas (comme de l'habitude dans les hôtels ou appart. Loués) un bon couteau qui coupe! Et une lampe frontale si vous arrivez le soir. La propriétaire très gentil, et arrangeante.

“Quiet, relaxing spot, away from the hustle & bustle of city life.”

We had a very pleasant stay! The booking process was easy & detailed information was provided prior to the stay. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed & the location is perfect. Highly recommended!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your review. Glad you had a relaxing time and everything you needed. It is exactly what I hoped to achieve with the property, 'some peace and quiet in the country with quality time for each other'.
