Description

Cavern House Helios is a unique property set in one of Santorini’s most peaceful, unspoilt and traditional villages; Exo Gonia. Accommodating 6 guests with indoor and outdoor facilities it is a perfect blend of location, comfort and convenience for your stay in Santorini.

Carved from volcanic rock, the original house dates back to 1840 has been lovingly restored in the traditional style and updated to an immaculate standard to ensure a comfortable and carefree stay for all guests.

Indoors this traditional Santorinian home comprises 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a lounge. Furnished with care and attention to detail with pieces chosen to compliment unique architectural style, the property features a fully equipped kitchen including all appliances, cutlery, crockery. Laundry facilities, linen and beach towels are provided. The lounge area features a flat screen tv, Netflix and a DVD player with a broad selection of films for those stay indoors nights.

The lounge area opens directly to the courtyard and adjoining sun terrace with overflowing bougainvillea and a herb garden where guests can enjoy shaded and sun filled areas including a barbecue and dining area accommodating 6 people on the courtyard as well as sun lounges and additional outdoor sofas along with a plunge pool on the sun terrace.

It is sure to impress and allow you to slip effortlessly into island time while enjoying the panoramic views of the vine terraces of Profitis Ilias and the endless views across the Aegean to the island of Anafi and beyond as well as the amazing caldera sunset views just a few minutes away by car.

Guest can enjoy one complimentary airport transfer with each booking, with further transfers available at great rates through our transportation partner.

Viewing the island from the sea is an absolute must. Day trips, sunset cruises, with others or on your own. We can find whatever you need for that day to remember. for the more active there is Sea Kayak Tours, Jet Ski Hire and Scuba Diving for all abilities.

Cultural and lifestyle experiences

We can organise a trip to a unique Santorini interactive theatre experience or consider a wine tour, exploring one of the islands wineries. Recommend and book the best tavernas for you. Organise walking/ photography tours, horse riding, archaeological trips, cooking classes and much more.

In-Villa services

For that special occasion, we can arrange a private meal prepared at your villa, cooked for you, just the way you like it. We also have childcare service, for those special occasions when you need to get away and have a ‘grown-up’ evening.

Getting around

A car is recommended as the village is not on a main bus route. Taxis are available but can be difficult to find in the summer. You are also welcome to make your own arrangements directly with our driver.

Interaction with guest

Before you arrive, i am available to answer any questions you may have. Once you arrive, my villa manager will be available to advise of things to do, make restaurant reservations, arrange boat trips or any other activities you may want to do. He is also very knowledgeable of the island, so will be able to answer any questions you may have. He will also be contactable by telephone during your stay, in case you experience any problems, either at the villa or while you are out

Never been to Santorini before so wasn't sure what to expect. We read previous reviews and took a chance. What a wonderful place to stay. The house was very comfortable all amenities and 3 double bedrooms. You definitely need a car if you want to see the whole island and it is well worth driving around. Absolutely beautiful location would recommend to anyone. Sarah was so helpful too, couldn't do enough for us. Be happy to stay there again.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sarah (the owner) a message.

If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
