This front line comfortable and spacious apartment is on the 5th floor facing directly South over the sea towards Port Adriano and El Toro. El Toro is about 5 kms east of Santa Ponca on the Old Coast Road. The apartment has a good size south facing lounge with a comfortable sofa, table and 4 chairs. The sliding patio doors open onto a big balcony with a table and 4 chairs and a sun lounger. Here is the ideal spot to sip those final sun downers, watch the activity in the marina and generally relax and enjoy the view. A 32 in Flatscreen TV with most of the free UK Channels and many different European language channels, a Panasonic DVD player and a stereo with CD is also provided. Unlimited Wireless Internet Access is available at an additional cost of £10.00 per week. Please enquire for full details. The property has marble floors throughout and the large master bedroom with a king size double bed has sliding doors opening on to the main balcony. It has a large mirrored wardrobe unit offering plenty of storage space plus other items of furniture and its own flat screen TV. The second good sized bedroom has 2 single beds, a wardrobe and other items of furniture. The kitchen opens into the living area with a dining table and 4 chairs. The bathrom has been completely renewed and is very smart and modern. There is a new electric heated hot water system in the apartment and all appliances are electric. The apartment does not have a gas supply.

The grounds of the apartment block back onto the old main road linking Santa Ponca and Magaluf. It is served by a regular bus service which stops right in front of the block. The beach at El Toro is less than 2 minutes level walk away from the sea level entrance to the building. The nearby village of El Toro ( 5 mins level walk) has an excellent bakery, a selection of useful shops, banks, bars, and a supermarket. The recently built marina of Port Adriano is a boat lovers paradise and has many delightful restaurants, bars and shops plus a new 5* Hotel. Again it is only a 5 minute level walk from the sea level entrance to the apartment building. The village is peaceful and quiet but the busy towns of Santa Ponca and Magaluf are only a few minutes away by car or bus.

The Balearic Islands region
Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and as such caters for almost everybodys needs. El Toro lies in the South West corner of the island and enjoys some of the best weather on the island.
Magaluf which is about a 10 minute drive away is essentially a lively family resort with Aqua Parks (2) , Go-Karts, An Ocean Park, Pirates Theatre, and a Mini Golf course. There are also a huge variety of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and shops to suit all tastes and budgets. Magaluf has a beautiful wide and long beach of fine sand which does tend to get very busy during the high season.
Santa Ponca which is about a 10 minutes drive away in the opposite direction is a much more leisurely town also with a very fine large beach, many restaurants, bars and shops. A more upmarket town than Magaluf but still plenty to see and do.
This whole area also has many lovely small coves and bays with delightful small inexpensive beach restaurants serving wonderful fresh fish plus many other tasty Mallorcain dishes. Please note that a hire car although not essentail, is certainly recommended as it would allow you to explore this beautiful area plus the rest of the island more easily than using the buses. There is a new motorway close by linking El Toro to the capital city of Palma which is about a 20 minute drive away.
To go swimming from the lovely safe and sandy beach at El Toro is less than a 3 minute walk away. The marina which has undergone an extensive redevelopement program is almost completed and it is now on par with the very best that the Mediterranean has to offer. There is a newly opened Dive Centre and various Charter Boat Companies all close at hand. In addition there are many superb boutiques and lovely restaurants to try out.
The village of El Toro is a comfortable 10 minute stroll away and there you will find most things that you need from English newspapers to a local bakery, supermarket and banks.
Most watersports are available on the Santa Ponca and Magaluf beaches. Golf is available at Golf 1 & 2 in Santa Ponca which is about a 5 minute car drive away. There is also Golf Poniente which is in the Magaluf direction about a 10 minute car drive away. And finally there is the beautiful couse at Royal Golf Bendinat which is about a 20 minute car drive away. The very upmarket marina of Porto Portals with its magnificent boats, yachts and very expensive boutiques is about a 15 drive away in the direction of Palma. In the other direction lies Andratx and Port Andratx which is also a very lovely town and harbour area famous for its very expensive homes and abundance of wealthy and famous people.
The very beautiful and rugged West Coast with its numerous pretty villages should not be missed. It can be reached by car in about 30 miutes from the apartment. Finally the central mountainous region of the island again with many pretty villages is about a 60 minute drive from the apartment using the new motorway.

“An amazing place to stay”
Just come back from a week here. Absolutely loved it. Never been to El toro before normally visit the north of the island but I can honestly say this place knocks socks off Alcudia and Pollenca!! The view form the balcony is quite something. The port is great, beach is fantastic and if you love the sea but your kids moan about sandy feet then is the place... Just slip into the sea from rocks where sea is at knee level. The sea is completely clear and calm and great for snorkelling. The kids hired kyaks in the port to paddle around the bay and had a great time very reasonably priced too. There was lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance and again were very good and reasonably priced. The El toro beach bar and restaurant was great, lovely staff and great food. For the first time ever on holiday we didn't use the pool as the sea was so great but as we were ordering food in the restaurant there would have been no charge. We had a hire car so visited Santa Ponca which was a few minutes down the road and also went into magaluf one evening.....That was an eye opener!! We did a big food shop at Lidl which was about a 10 minute car ride away. I usually get eaten alive by mosquitos when staying on the north part of the island so was very pleased to return home with just 1 bite. With regards to apartment it was so lovely, clean and well equipped. There are some basics there such as tea bags, sugar, salt, shampoo, hand wash, bin bags, washing up liquid and much much more to get you started before you hit the shops although we didn't use any of it apart from washing up liquid and hand soap (which we did replace) it was a nice touch. I suffer with a back problem so always worry about beds when going on holiday but the mattress was great. The only negative about the apartment was the wifi... It was shockingly bad and when you have teenagers constantly moaning it starts to wear thin but as my father in law pointed out on our arrival home if your only problem was the wifi then there was no problem at all. P.S. The directions to the apartment were spot on. We arrived at midnight so were travelling in the dark and parking was never a problem at the apartment.
Owner's reply: If only you knew how pleasing it is to us to read a review from a family that have obviously enjoyed their stay in our apartment. I am sorry about the wifi but its sort of out of our control. Sometimes the system works perfectly and other times its pretty hit and miss dependent i think on how many people are trying to connect at the same time. Anyhow l'm glad it didn't detract to much from your enjoyment.
“Lovely resort and accommodation in which to relax and unwind”
This was the third time we have stayed in El Toro and just love the resort - its nice and peaceful and everything is in easy reach and not too far from the airport and Palma. The booking process was straightforward and the owner very approachable. Although the block is a bit dated, our apartment was clean, tidy, nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable. It was very well equipped (even had an egg boiler!!). The balcony was lovely for sitting and eating breakfast looking out over the bay and marina - a splendid view. As I have a bad back, the lift was a godsend. Food shopping was easy (did it on the way back from the airport at Lidl's) and there is a Spar in El Toro as well as coffee bars, chemist etc. The only downside was the internet access - we didn't realise we had to prepay and once in the apartment had no idea how to go about it so used our phones instead. Access was free in previous accommodation. We mostly went into Santa Ponsa or Palmanova to eat, but the restaurant just outside the apartment block was very friendly, with good food and reasonable prices. All in all, we had a lovely relaxing holiday - the weather was great and we had everything we needed in the apartment. If we return to El Toro we would be happy to return to the same apartment.
