Tucked under the ancient Etruscan walls of Cortona, the recently restored old stone Villa Topazio lies up on the hill and is part of a beatiful Renaissance Villa. From Villa Topazio one can admire the splendid view of the Valdichiana completely surrounded by olive groves which produce some of our excellent local extra virgin olive oil. The villa is surrounded by old pine, cypress, lime and oak trees which provide perfect areas for relaxing and reading. The beautiful swimming-pool, with garden furniture and barbecue, is at guests' disposal.
Partly restored in 1998 and partly in 2011, Villa Topazio offers its guests spectacular views of our beautiful valley. The villa consists of two apartments with independent entrance, which cannot be rented separately. The bigger apartment, spread over two floors sleeps up to 6 people, whereas the smaller one, on the first floor, sleeps up to 4 people. On the ground floor, a spacious hallway entry foyer leads into a living room, where there once were the old cellars, and one bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The spacious kitchen, once the original clay oven dating back to the 1800's, is fully equipped with all essential household appliances and amenities. On the first floor there are two bedrooms with views overlooking the Valdichiana, each with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The entrance to the smaller apartment is on the first floor and is accessible through an external stony staircase with a covered terrace and has two big living rooms, one with fireplace and the other used as a dining room. The fully equipped kitchen and the dining room are communicating. The sleeping area of the apartment consists of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathroom with shower. There is also a lovely wide veranda with wrought iron table and barbeque suitable for enjoying enchanting candlelit dinners. Luxurious grounds protecting your privacy surround the 8m x 13m swimming pool, once the antique water reservoir for the property.
In addittion to that: independent entrance, garage, private parking area and small laundry room. You wind your way up a narrow, paved country road, quite close to the now famous Villa Bramasole of Under the Tuscan Sun, through the terraced olive groves until the large gates opening to Villa Topazio.
