The Canary Islands region
The Villa's location perfectly combines the peace and quiet of this beautiful nature reserve area along with the hustle and bustle of the lovely fishing port of Corralejo with its good selection high quality restaurants and bars less than 5 mins away. Our Villa is the perfect home from home experience with all the modern conveniences you are used to with the added benefit of the glorious Canarian climate.
With three thousand hours of sunshine a year, Fuerteventura is the closest Canary Island to the African coast with only 100km separating the 'Punta de la Entallada' from Cape Juby in Morroco and is the second largest (after Tenerife) of all the islands. The weather conditions of Fuerteventura are very similar to Florida and Mexico which are on the same latitude, which make this the ideal holiday location.
Corralejo is ideally located in the Northern tip of the beautiful Island of Fuertaventura , its the largest resort on the island and widely renown as a fishing village that has grown into a vibrant and colourful town while maintaining its origin as a charming atmospheric place to spend your holiday.
There are white sandy beaches in the town where you can enjoy the Canarian sunshine and most of the bars, restaurants and shops are a stones throw away. The music square and the harbour offer views across the town and the sand dunes.

"Best Villa holiday we have had in a long time!"
We have stayed in quite a few Villas around Europe and this has to rate as one of the best value we have stayed in, it has everything you could possibly need, we were amazed that you could get a villa of this quality for the price. When we arrived there was a food & wine basket provided by the owners, which was unexpected and a really nice touch and got us off to a good start. The villa has a big enclosed rear garden for the kids to run around safely and a lovely pool overlooked by a shaded pergola, which was very pleasant in the hot midday sun if you want to watch the kids splashing about. The standard of décor and furnishings in the villa was very good. The TV and sitting room looked like it was just recently refurbished and was comfortable and stylish. The kids had never seen so many DVDs and watched one everyday. It is located in a very quiet part of the town, which we liked, and 5 mins walk from a new supermarket. We had a really good time and would recommend this villa and Fuerteventura to families especially. Overall couldn't fault it, 5 out of 5. We will be back again!
Hi Ray, we're delighted to hear you had a very enjoyable stay at the Villa and we hope welcome you again soon. Regards Nigel & Suzanne

"Best Holiday in Years"
This was our first holiday to a Villa and all I can say is we weren't disappointed and it won't be our last time. We had the most relaxed homely holiday we ever could have imagined. We arrived to find a lovely welcome pack with wine, food, milk, bread and butter etc which was a great start to the holiday. The Villa itself was immaculately clean and very well furnished and decorated with all the mod cons. The pool and garden were absolutely fabulous and we couldn't have asked for more. We travelled with our two children, Mother and Father in law and stayed at the beginning of May . The Corralejo area is fantastic and caters for everything a family would need. We ate in 4 of the recommended restaurants in Nigel's booklet and were delighted with all of them. There is a lovely pastry /coffee shop about 15 mins walk away which we did every morning for fresh Croissants. There is also a friendly cafe/restaurant next door to this. We even got a Birthday cake specially baked for our Daughters Birthday there. Trevor from the management company was more than helpful and we found the whole experience and the villa to be fantastic. I have to say I just read the previous post/review, I can only say that they must have stayed in a different villa! We didn't experience any problems, we really couldn't fault the villa, it is modern and immaculately clean, and we found the management company very helpful when needed. All we can say is if you are considering booking this villa you won't regret it, it genuinely is a lovely villa and I cannot recommend it enough, we thoroughly enjoyed it and are guaranteed to return. Brilliant, well done Nigel
Hi Tadhg, we are delighted to hear it was your best holiday in years and you thoroughly enjoyed it. We hope you and your family can return soon. Many thanks Nigel & Suzanne

"Unfinished site, rude and unhelpful property management!"
We stayed here from end april for a weeks a holiday...and a nitemare doesnt quite some it up! Villa was more like a town house on a residential and unfinished construction site. There were houses left unfinished and this made the site look quite unsightly. As it was residential lots of spainish children riding bikes and shouting aswell as some apartments playing loud music which we could hear! On arrival we had no welcome pack, tv constantley lost signal and dvd player kept crashing! We had limited towels and didnt recieve a visit from the property manager until the next afternoon, who on arrival was rude and advised us not to contact him unless it was an emergency! The owners of this villa nigel and suzanne are lovely and very helpful with great commication skills but the property managment team do not have any of the above attributes. Our son got burnt by the chlorine in the villas pool (this was confirmed by tests at the hospital), and was put on steroid medication, again we had no help or support from the property management team-once again just the rude attitude! The house itself was spacious but slightly run down as broken shelve in fridge, mould in shower and as i mentioned previously scrambled TV, i didnt expect this from a "luxury villa" as advertised. Also the site communal pool was scruffy and unusable, the jacuzzi had bear wires and looked absolutly filthy aswell as the kiddies pool, so we were unable to use this also.
Stuart, we were extremely surprised and disappointed to receive your very poor review and would like to take this opportunity to clear up in an honest and truthful manner any issues you allegedly experienced so as to give future guests a more balanced and fair viewpoint. The property is a high quality detached villa and not a town house as you described it. Also, our phase of the complex is completely finished and so are all the villas surrounding it. As it is in a residential complex, Spanish children or any children for that matter, cycling and playing in the complex is normal in all types of holiday complexes. They’re good natured kids and we find it very strange & difficult to understand how anybody, particularly a group travelling with a young child, could possibly have a problem with that. On arrival you were greeted with a COMPLIMENTARY welcome pack including bottled water, wine, bread, tea, coffee, milk, bread, ham and cheese. We have confirmed with our management company that this was left for you on your arrival. The TV channels are via satellite and can lose picture for a few seconds if there are very high winds or storms. This is a common feature with all satellite providers on the island. So you were a bit unlucky that it happened during your stay. Had you informed our management company of any problems, perhaps they could have been of assistance. In relation to your negative comments regarding our property manager. You rang them when you arrived at the villa 21.00 to say that your child was unwell during your flight and they recommended a doctor and gave you the number and location of the 24 hour medical centre. You also asked them how to turn on the hob which they talked through with you on the phone. We can’t understand how that is deemed to be rude or unhelpful. During this call they informed you that they would drop around in the morning. During this visit they answered any questions that you may have had and asked that you only to contact them after 6pm in the event of an emergency which is standard practice. When your son developed an unusual rash you contacted them as you thought it may be from the pool. As a matter of urgency they organised for the chlorine levels in the pool to be checked the next day by our pool company, a highly reputable company on the Island. The levels were found to be perfect, so this serious accusation is totally unfounded as it is impossible that the rash came from chlorine levels in the pool. If there was an issue with the pool all of you and not just your son would have been affected. A small crack in one of the fridge door shelves and a spot of mould allegedly in the shower does NOT constitute a rundown villa and is totally misleading to potential guests. In relation to towels, each guest receives a bath towel and a hand towel which is standard practice in villas and hotels. In addition we also provide complimentary beach towel for each guest, which is not standard practice in other accommodation. Not only did we provide you with a complimentary welcome pack on arrival but we also gave you a complimentary late check out as a kind gesture because your flight was late. Finally, we would like to reiterate that our villa is always maintained to a very high standard and is kept immaculately clean for guests on arrival. Our aim and hope is that all our guests have a fantastic stay at Villa Suzy so much so that they return again. Nigel & Suzanne

We had a fantastic relaxing family holiday in Villa Suzy, so much so that we have just booked another 2 weeks. Nigel and Suzanne are a pleasure to deal with and when we were at the villa, their local agent was a wealth of information about the area. Villa Suzy has every possible amenity you could expect and is very spacious both inside and out and really is a home away from home. Looking forward to our return visit.
Hi Caroline, Thank you very much for your lovely review, we are delighted you had an enjoyable stay and look forward to welcoming you back again to Villa Suzy. Nigel & Suzanne

"Brilliant family holiday, would highly recommend"
We booked Villa Suzy on the recommendation of friends who stayed there before. We were not disappointed. The villa is fantastic. We have 3 young kids and Nigel & Suzanne had thought of everything, from toys to keep the kids entertained in the garden to a wide selection of DVDs when we wanted to escape the sun. Usually when we travel we have to bring loads of stuff with us, however not to this Villa. Corralejo is a very child friendly resort and the beaches are fantastic. The owners had supplied an information booklet giving suggestions of places to visit & things to do including where to find a butchers for the BBQ, which was excellent. We will definitely return and I would highly recommend this villa to anyone considering a trip to Fuerteventura.
Hi Amanda, great to hear you had a fab time in Corrralejo and that Villa Suzy exceeded your expectations. We hope to welcome you and your family again soon to Villa Suzy! Many thanks Nigel

"Nice house, unfinished holiday park, problems with deposit"
A bitter aftertaste caused by the refusal of the owners to return half of the deposit (125 E) due to claimed damage to an old chair. We did hardly sit on this chair and did certainly not break it. There was nothing wrong with it when we left. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do other than to warn other guests to make photo's of the furniture when you leave. Very unpleasant. House is nice though, couch and chairs a bit old; holiday park is only half finished which gives a desolate look but this is often in fuerteventura.
Hi Joen, we wanted to respond to what we feel is a very unfair and harsh rating in order to give other potential guests a more balanced account of events. You sent us an email as soon as you got home to say quote 'we had a really lovely stay at your villa' and 'when could we expect the breakage deposit back'. Unfortunately we found out later that day from our management company that one of our reclining chairs was badly broken. It was unrepairable and had to be removed immediately from the villa for health and safety reasons. As you were a group of 7 and stayed in the villa for 2 weeks it is hard to see how the chair was not used during your stay. All the furniture in the villa was bought new 3 years ago and was in perfect condition before your arrival. We didn't take the decision to withhold part of your breakage deposit lightly and thankfully have not found ourselves in this position before but we felt we had no other option in this case. As a goodwill gesture we only withheld half of the deposit which was more than fair on our part given the significantly higher cost of replacing the chair. Finally, just to clarify, our phase of the complex has been fully completed and as can be seen from the other 5 STAR reviews all our guests have had a truly exceptional stay at Villa Suzy so much so some have actually returned.

Travelled with my wife, kids (20 and 17) and mother in law. We wanted a leisurely break to recharge the batteries and this was the perfect place to do that. The villa itself is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Bedrooms are large and well furnished, the kitchen is quite modern and the living room is a lovely spacious area that has everything you need. The real selling point though is the outside. The pool is just perfect and catches the sun all day with a nice gentle breeze down both sides of the villa to keep you cool. There are 4 comfy sun beds with 4 more on the roof terrace for larger parties and there is a large BBQ and a nice shaded eating area with a large table and chairs. You will ideally need a car to get around as the villa is located out of town but the very welcome bonus of that is the peace and quiet. If you don't have a car then it is no huge problem as there is a path that leads down to a small selection of bars and restaurants (15 mins walk) and there is a taxi rank there if you wish to go into town. Taxis are about £3. There is also a new supermarket that is walkable too. Finally all the dealings we had with the owners and Trevor, who manages the property for them, were first rate. All were very helpful, provided loads of advice and were a pleasure to deal with. We will be returning.
Thanks Bob, we're delighted to hear that you and your family (not forgetting the mother in-law) had a wonderful stay at 'Villa Suzy' and had a fabulous time in Corralejo. Regards Nigel & Suzanne

We just had to write a review to let others know how “fabulous” Villa Suzy is!!! It had been a long time since the girls had a holiday so four of us decided to head off to Corralejo. We discussed staying in a hotel or an apartment but then decided we would try a villa and we were more than pleasantly surprised. From the moment we made contact with the owners, Suzanne and Nigel, we found them most helpful, nothing was a problem. When we arrived we were amazed at the size and cleanliness of the villa. We walked around admiring every room from the very well equipped kitchen, the spacious and comfortable living room to the wonderful relaxing south facing garden and terrace area. It was a magnet for the sun. We sat outside enjoying breakfast, lunch and sun downers. It was so relaxing and comfortable. It was an added treat to have our own swimming pool and BBQ area which was in perfect condition. The bedrooms were spacious and airy and the beds were so comfortable. There was an en suite in the master bedroom and also the main bathroom with bath and shower, we were able to get showered with no fuss!!! Most evenings we walked into the town but taxis were also readily available so getting around was not a problem. I would highly recommend Villa Suzi. Our holiday was very relaxing, we had every comfort and loads of laughs.
Hi Ladies, many thanks for the review, great to hear you had a fab time at the Villa. Regards Nigel & Suzanne

"beautiful villa will certainly go again"
Family holiday consisting of two young children aged 4 and 6, one teenager one adult daughter and her partner and the size of the villa was prefect. The villa had everything you would need for a very very comfortable stay, it really was home away from home. Suzanne and Nigel were extremely helpful from the minuet we booked the villa and Trevor was always on hand if we needed anything during the holiday. The villa was spotless and had everything you would need. It is really secure with a great pool and lovely garden area. No chance of the little ones getting out of the garden unnoticed and there is a door guard on the door so they do not wander out to the pool. We did not hire a car but we walked many times into the town and it takes about 20 mins to do this. There are a number of places along the way if you wanted to stop and have a drink or an ice cream to break up the walk. Taxi's were very cheap to get to and from the villa. The two bicycles in the villa proved very handy as well and we used them to go to the nearest shop a number of times. Villa Suzy is ideal for big families and we used the BBQ a number of times while we were there. I have to mention that our six year old son is autistic and for anyone with a child with special needs I could not recommend villa Suzy highly enough. We never had to worry about him getting out of the garden and wandering off. Coming with it's own pool we didn't worry about not being able to see him in crowds around apartment pools because there was only ourselves there. This was the most relaxing holiday that I have had in years and from a financial point of view it worked out much cheaper than it would have to rent two or three apartments. We will certainly return.

"Fantastic Villa for Perfect Holiday in the Sun"
Right from the start of booking our holiday Nigel and Suzanne made things so easy, they were on the ball and emails were answered promptly. On arrival at airport we had booked through travel republic who took us straight to the villa. On entering the villa I was well and truly impressed. Villa was superb, very clean and had everything possible for the making of a good holiday, the enclosed garden with pool was devine with sunshine all day and late into the evening, this was PARADISE. Nigel and Suzanne have thought of everything, Oh, the welcome pack was a really nice touch. The children even got to play with spanish neighbours who have the villa next door, first class. The first day we walked down to the nearest shops and bars but with 2 young grand children aged 6 and 4 it was a wee bit of a walk for them. As we didn't hire a car we went up and down to the main resort by taxi as they were sooo cheap (3.75 euros). In the main resort there were a variety of really good restaurants. El Pescador being one of our favourites as they were so good with our young children. The restaurant is situated in the music square and the music and late night entertainment was superb. We had a great day out at Baku park which was really worth going to (23 euros for an adult and 16 euros per child) what a great day out. Also I would recommend the market near the park which was well worth a vist. The children even got to play street football with spanish neighbour's children who have the villa next door, first class. Overall a very enjoyable holiday, we will definately go back. PS. I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to Trevor who looked after us well.
