Clifden is the capital of Connemara and it is the perfect base for touring the area. With its unique landscape, it attracts visitors from all over the world. There are nearby activites to suit all tastes. The mountains (Twelve Bens) are famous for hiking. Fishing is another very big activity in Connemara with its numerous lakes and streams.
