Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Very satisfied stay!” Nice cottage and great location close to the town but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Hugh was very accommodating and knowledgable about the area. Would definitely stay again.
“Incredibly welcoming, well located and beautiful property.” We were welcomed to the cottage late one evening by Mr Ruane, who had spent the day readying the property and setting out a lovely tray of tea and yummy apple pie for us. The cottage itself is beautifully looked after with everything we needed for a relaxed holiday. From past experience we have noticed that holiday lets can sometimes have inferior, sometimes uncomfortable sofas and beds, but not here. After long days sightseeing we were able to light a turf fire and recline in the comfy living room and slept deeply in the beds upstairs. Really comfy.
One of the reasons we chose this property was the river which forms part of the grounds' border. My husband is a keen angler and wanted to include some fishing, which he did and thoroughly enjoyed. He enthuses to everyone about the quality of the fishing at that location. There's so much to see when taking a walk around the land which this house sits on. I like to practice photography and spent many hours roaming around taking pictures.
The cottage is located close enough to Gorteen to walk. It is also surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. I have spent many years travelling around Ireland, but had never spent any time in this area. It it definitely somewhere I intend returning to.
“Peaceful location and beautiful scenery, excellent house beside” Our family stayed there over Easter weekend and had a great time. It's less than 5 mins walk to the beach and less than 10 mins (900m) to a really good pub (the Beach Bar) with good value food and a very nice atmosphere. The house is very big and has a 4 bedrooms - a double room (en-suite) for parents, a big kids room with a double and a single bed , another double and another single (downstairs) as well as a bathroom and downstairs W.C. so you could fit 2 families. Its very well kitted out with towels, cooking and washing facilities and we really appreciated the small things there like teabags!. Heat and electricity are extra at cost. There's central heating, an open fire and a stove so no reason not to be cosy. The nearest shop is several miles away but once you're stocked up you'd be quite happy staying there enjoying the scenery, taking a walk, reading a good book, etc. Overall its perfect for a family holiday and we'd all hope to get a chance to go back again.
