From the owner

Our property - la Garipiere is situated in a tiny, very peaceful village (Le Mas) near Carves in the Black Perigord part of Dordogne. On the top of a hill it has the most magnificent views over the surrounding valleys and of the medieval town of Belvès 6 kilometers away. Surrounded by fields and woods, the delightful lanes and paths all around are an invitation for wonderful country walks. Twenty minutes from Sarlat and 5 minutes from the Dordogne river the house is ideally situated for visiting the region and discovering the beauties of the "Perigord Noir".

It is a typical perigordian barn of 250m², part of an 18th century group of buildings recently and carefully restored by their owners to make a spacious holiday home for 12 with private pool, patio and garden . It is admirably suited for family and friends who want to holiday together but without feeling on top of each other

On the ground floor :70m² living/dining area with fireplace TV, HI-FI system books and games, wifi internet connection; fully equipped kitchen;WC; bedroom and ensuite wet room wheelchair friendly. The living area gives onto a 75m² patio with a barbecue and a table for 12 and a large gravelled area for playing petanque.

On the first floor : 2 double bedrooms with ensuite shower-rooms; one bedroom with 2 single beds and a bunk bed for two with ensuite shower-room; one bedroom for 2; utility room with washing machine, iron, ironing board etc..

The garden of 1500m² gives onto the pool (11x4.5m)

The prices indicated by Holidaylettings include bed linen, electricity, gas and water. A booking fee of 10 to 16% is calculated by Holidaylettings on the rental cost and all other costs including on the damage deposit- this explains the following paragraph. Should you prefer todeal directly with us enter Garipiere in your favourite search engine and you will find us immediately.

A cleaning cost or 100 Euros is charged separately, and collected by the owners when they greet you on your arrival. They will also collect the refundable damage deposit (800 Euros) and the local tourist tax of 1.1 € per adult per night.. All these can be paid via cheque or cash.

The owners who live in another but completely separate part of the buildings and assume themselves the management are available to answer any questions in English, French and German. The pool measures 11 x 4.5m.

All equipment ( cots, playpen, bath, pot ) necessary for a baby can be supplied upon request at no extra cost. Bed linen is supplied free of cost and bath linen can be supplied upon request .Three of the four shower rooms are en suite and one shared between two bedrooms.There is a utility room with washing machine, clothes dryer and ironing bfacilities.

How do damage deposits work?
