“A beautiful place to stay!”

We loved our stay at L'Orangerie! The property was perfect for our group of 5 adults. There were 3 double rooms (one with a single bed too and another with an en-suite), a main bathroom with a shower and a large, bright open plan living area. The property was beautifully decorated and attached to an amazing 18th century chateau! Claudia, the owner, was extremely kind and it was clear that she enjoyed hosting guests and making them feel welcome. It was wonderful to hear about the history of the chateau! The property is in a fantastic location for Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. We wish we had longer to explore! And to top it all off, it was lovely to play with Folie the gorgeous dog! We would love to return!

This gite was one of the lovelies places we have ever stayed. the furnishings was beautiful, great care was used in decorating this lovely house. Attending to detail was perfect. We wanted to be near the D Day beaches and this was perfect. Close to the town of Bayous, which is a jewel of a small town. Our hostess, Claudia was delightful and we got to hear the history of the Chateaus.
