Description

The Oak "Eco" Barn is a green oak framed English Heritage barn constructed in the traditional way with beech dowels and a host of beautifully exposed beams. Furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard, the barn's accommodation is "upside down" to ensure that our guests benefit from the beautiful views that surround the building. The spacious upstairs lounge has comfortable leather armchairs and a sofa to seat up to six guests very comfortably, and there is a small office area adjacent to it, so, if there is a need to work from home it can be done in comfort. High speed wireless wi-fi has been made available ensuring full connectivity to the internet. The barn will be made ready for your arrival complete with linen, towels and all of the basics to get you started. Downstairs the accommodation comprises two large bedrooms furnished with solid wood furniture to compliment the beams, one features a superking zip and link bed which can be divided into two singles, and the other is a double bed with space for a "hotel style" fold away bed if required.The solid oak fitted dining kitchen includes a built in fan oven, electric hob with extractor, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge freezer. The oak dining table can be extended to seat up to six if required. Kaye has ensured that it comes complete with everything you should need. The luxury shower room, and laundry/drying room with washing machine, iron, ironing board etc are also located on the ground floor. A complete home from home with dedicated parking, beautiful views over open fields, woodlands and the Lodge Farm vegetable and fruit garden. Being an "Eco" barn, it has been built with energy conservation in mind. The barn benefits from low energy lighting, biomass heating, rainwater harvesting to the pond, innovative "green" building materials have been utilized to reduce it's carbon footprint.The Eco barn can be booked in conjunction with Clematis cottages (1 and 2) plus annex which can sleep up to 14 guests. Getting around

It is advisable to have a car as the local bus passes the lane end every other hour throughout the day. A taxi into Stamford would cost around £15 depending on the time of day.

Interaction with guest

We aim to have the cottage prepared for your arrival from 3pm onwards, as we live on site we are always at hand if you need us but we do like to leave you to relax and enjoy the cottage and grounds. If you could let us know your expected time of arrival we will be here to show you around and hand over the key.

“the Eco barn getaway”

The Eco barn was situated in the peaceful countryside,We was all watching Four wild deer from the back garden.IT was fantastic.You can get fresh eggs from the free range chickens the owners keep and You can buy honey from there bee's.cracking stuff. And my add the beds where to die for. Ihope we stay there again sometime.

My husband and I and another couple enjoyed three nights at this lovely barn .We had all had a busy few weeks prior to our visit and just wanted some where to relax and get away from it all.The barn was ideal and we especially enjoyed the upstairs lounge.
