The Townhouse is the perfect location to give you the experience staying in a 'living' French town. All you need is within less than 5 minutes - butchers, bakers, cheeseshop, greengrocer, wine merchant and the larger supermarket is within walking distance. The town house is attractively decorated, comfortable, and very well equipped and furnished.
Realmont is ideally situated for travel throughout the region and public transport links are excellent - but for those who wish to stay closer to base the area is criss crossed with footpaths which take you through gentle beautiful countryside.
John and Sonia are super hosts and do all they can to make your stay as good as it gets. …

B&B in a lovely riverside house
We wish we could have stayed longer
We stayed for four nights at the end of a month in southern France. With hindsight we should have redistributed our time and spent more time here. There's plenty to do in the area. Albi is close and Lautrec is a gem. Owner Katy was cheerful, flexible and obliging. Breakfast was great. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. The adjacent weir was a bit loud, but there'd been unseasonal rain so the river was up. We think it would usually be quite soothing. …

The Little House
A wonderful and alternative retreat in the South of France.
As a fairly experienced user of self catering cottages, The Little House and it's hosts surpassed all my expectations.
The cottage is in an idyllic location if remote and away from the hustle and bustle of life is what you want. Its rooms are comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated in an informal but stylish manner.
The bedroom was cool and comfortable. The outside patio-deck provided a quiet and private area for eating alfresco, surrounded by flowering annuals, jasmine and herbs which we were encouraged to use. The kitchen had a well stocked cupboard with condiments and flavourings. coffee and tea, rice and preserves.
Our hosts were friendly welcoming, helpful
and thoughtful. Generous too with such touches as a bottle of wine left for us on arrival, a posy of flowers and fruit and vegetables from their garden.
The location is an ideal spot
to travel from to explore the Tarn. There is also a local lake which offered beautiful
scenery, warm water to swim in and a tree shaded bank to
relax and picnic on. Even on a Sunday during peak holiday time there was plenty of space. A superior alternative to the beach on many counts.
I will be recommending this cottage to all my family and friends. …
