“Ideal for families” The villa is well placed on an established complex which is ideal for young families. Equally the resort, although a little trek if you want to go into the town every night (albeit we did it with 6 and 3 year olds), is very nice for young families with a picturesque small beach and enough places to eat.
When we stayed the accommodation was very well priced in comparison to others.
Difficult to make too much use of the upstairs bedroom (which is the best) if you want to sleep on the same floor as your kids but three very adequate bedrooms.
Beautiful villa, fantastically quiet resort - plenty of sun loungers!
We stayed here for a week in July. Family of five (two teenagers), and we all said it was the nicest house we every stayed in. Plenty of room in three twin bedrooms (and such lovely bed linen!) Beautiful Moorish decoration and plenty of chill out spaces. Downstairs was lovely and cool and all rooms had shutters to keep out the heat! Highlight was probably the roof terrace!
The villa is in a resort with a pool, outdoor chess, gold, tennis, bar etc. It was so quiet (I think as many villas had their own pools) so we often ended up in the resort pool with no one else! Also, the first resort ever where there were always plenty of sun loungers.
A walk away is the little town with lovely restaurants and tourist/craft shops.
Sharon and Mark were a pleasure to deal with and I hope we return to the lovely Casa some day. Thank you. …
Casa Susana 21078/AL
Perfect holiday villa
We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Casa Susanna and we were extremely pleased with our experience.
The villa is situated in the Quinta Do Paraiso complex. It's a little less than a 20 minute walk to the town of Carvoiero and about 15 minutes to the nearest beach.
We arrived to a gorgeous welcome pack of food stocked in the fridge and cupboard including bread, water, butter, milk and fruit which was a lovely touch and was a helpful start to our stay.
The villa is perfectly maintained and really well equipped. The kitchen has absolutely every utensil you might need. There are plenty of bathroom and pool/beach towels so no need to bring your own. There are pool and beach toys and inflatables. The pool and garden areas are immaculate with the pool services and gardener coming twice a week. The cleaner also comes twice a week and is a very pleasant lady. The outdoor BBQ and kitchen area looks great although we never used it. The beds are really comfortable and plenty of wardrobe space in each of the 3 bedrooms. There is air conditioning in every room. I simply cannot fault the facilities in the villa.
If you want to eat out there are a few restaurants within the complex of Quinta Do Paraiso but we never tried them and always ate out in the town of Carvoiero as we met up with other family there. I highly recommend The Chef's Kitchen and The Gumtree restaurants.
I'd like to give a special mention to David and the cleaning lady who allowed us to arrive and stay earlier than the check in time of 2pm even though the villa wasn't fully ready. This was because I had been really ill on the journey and David allowed me to use one of the bedrooms with ensuite to recouperate in when we arrived at 11am.
I was so impressed with the villa and our experience that I intend to book again for 2019! …
Beautiful holiday home
Large and spacious accommodation, nicely decorated and with modern features.
4 good sized bedrooms, all with air conditioning, modern kitchen and 3 modern bathrooms.
Plenty of areas to sit, chill and relax, from the large lounge area, terrace, around the decent sized pool, by the big barbecue, or even on the roof.
All set in lovely, mature gardens.
Friendly greeting on arrival and friendly maid service twice per week.
A short (less than 10 minutes) stroll into the town of Carvoeiro, with plenty of bars and restaurants, and several en-route.
There are a few convenient small/medium sized shops and supermarkets in Carvoeiro, plus a few bigger ones (Aldi, Appolonia, Intermarche) on the road in, for which you'd need transport.
A perfect setting and ideal for our group of 6 adults.
Highly recommended! …
60 Quinta do Paraiso, stunning villa, large kidney pool, 10 mins walk to town
Lovely villa, comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished.
The villa has been furnished to a high standard in a very comfortable and relaxed style. The pool area with the outside kitchen, shower and toilet is a great addition making outside living very easy.
We would definitely go again and have no hesitation in recommending it to friends. …
Casa Pacata, gated private pool, use of Quinta do Paraiso resort facilities
Great property, ideally located
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, which is a recommendation in itself, and so we knew how to get there and what to expect. And it was once again perfect for us.
3 good sized bedrooms meant that myself and my wife, our 20 year-old daughter and 17 year-old son were all well accommodated. It sleeps 6 comfortably.
The property has everything you need to make you stay comfortable, a real 'home from home'. No need to take any electricals, adapter plugs, books - it's all there for you.
Apart from the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one being en-suite to the master bedroom), there is a good sized lounge, well appointed kitchen and laundry room.
Outside, there is the reasonably sized private pool and several areas to sit, lounge, relax etc, including a rear patio, a raised patio overlooking the pool, sunbeds adjacent to the pool plus a roof-top area, although this gets very hot during the day in the height of the season.
And don't worry about being overlooked - a clever design layout and mature plants and trees ensure your privacy.
There is a friendly maid who visits twice per week, plus pool maintenance and gardeners ensuring that everything is kept clean
As well as the private pool (not heated, but not a problem in August) you can aslo use the 2 pools which are on the Quinta Do Paraiso complex, as well as other facilities - tennis courts, mini golf etc. The pool is free, but there is a charge for using tennis etc.
There is also entertainment in the main pool bar area, 2 restaurants and a mini-market.
A 10 minute walk downhill (15 minutes back, uphill!) gets you to the centre of Carvoiero, with it's many restaurants and bars, and which are all generally of a high standard with good service.
There are also a couple of supermarkets and other shops in the town.
If you want to do a bigger shop, if you have a car there are some bigger supermarkets just between Lagoa and Carvoeiro.
If you don't have a car, you can walk it (I did!), but I would advise hiring a taxi, particularlyif you have a lot to carry.
Carvoeiro has everything that you need really, beach, cliffs, caves, shops, restaurants etc, so you don't need to travel too far, but there are plenty of good days out nearby if you do want to explore the area.
So, all in all, I would highly recommend this property …
The House Barbas, Quinta do Paraiso
Home from Home, we loved it.
So spacious, so clean, great size pool, spoilt with the cleaner turning up twice during our week stay and the gardener. Great position, teenagers walked down into town/beach. So many restaurants to chose from. About 50 mins from the airport, easy. Loads of supermarkets if you wish to do some self catering. We all loved it, thank you. …
