Great Recommendation from our friends

Coming from the states, we didn't know what to expect, but our friends had traveled in Portugal and recommended this place. It was a great stay. The unit is a full size house in a upscale community with access to the beach, ocean, and historic sites. The house is lovely with a large living room, a dining area on the main floor, a downstairs master suite, king bedroom, and child's room upstairs. The home was perfect for two couples traveling together since there was lots of room to spread out and plenty of space for privacy. The kitchen was large with a full size refrigerator and was well equipped. which allowed our friend to prepare a gourmet meal one evening. There is a very modern bathroom in master suite and a powder room on the first floor, as well as a very large bathroom on the second floor. In typical European fashion, the beds were twins which had been pushed together to make king beds, but they were very comfortable. The third bedroom which was set up for kids could also have been set up as a king room. The outside was really great. The backyard faces onto a pretty valley that is farmed, and there there is a forest beyond the farmed area which provided lots of privacy. There is a barbecue and dining table on the back porch and a large swimming pool right off the patio. The house is surrounded by a pretty garden. There is a lovely patio on the second floor as well which provided a great view of the area. The owner lived next door to the rental, and was very friendly and was available for any of our needs. (I am not sure if they are there year round...) The gentleman is English so they speak English. A beautiful beach is within walking distance, and Obidos, the historic town is very close as is Peniche where we went for dinner two evenings. The internet worked well which allowed me to stay in touch with the news and with family in the states. We don't watch TV so can't comment on the TV service.
