La Garanne
Rural and relaxing

We stayed at La Garanne for 1 week with 2 adults and a 1 year old and found it be be a comfortable, clean and lovely cottage. Nowhere is ever as baby proofed as your own home but we found it to be safe enough to relax with a toddler exploring each room! The cottage was really well equipped and the welcome pack was a great help as we arrived late in the evening when the shops were closed. Rachel was a great help with my many questions prior to the trip and I would happily recommend this place to friends and family.see more
La Maison des Papillons
Charming cottage, very peaceful and private setting.

We spent one week at this accommodation (2 adults and a 5 year old) and everything was as described. This charming cottage was very private with a secure garden for our little one to play in and a lovely view over the valley below. The cottage was also very clean and well maintained and a welcome pack with all the basics (including a bottle of wine) was left for us. There were plenty of towels and pillows and the beds were really comfy. There is plenty of storage space in the bedrooms and insect screens on one window in each bedroom, so we were able to sleep with the windows open. We used the BBQ virtually every day and spent most evenings out on the patio enjoying the sunshine. The location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway. There are bikes available although we didn't use them. Being on a hillside the view is great but the roads were too steep and had too many blind bends for a little one to ride safely. I think for adults or older kids it would be fine. The village of Payzac is a short drive away, just across the valley and the village church can be seen from one of the bedroom windows. There are a few places to visit nearby. Lac Ruffiac is a short drive away and has a beach with safe swimming area (with lifeguard), pedalos, kayaks, playground, clean toilets & changing rooms. Chateau-le-segur also worth visiting, it has a few picnic benches by the river and is a lovely spot for some lunch. The owner (Marie) was very helpful and always responded to our queries/questions very quickly.see more
