“Perfect” We have just returned from a lovely break at this lodge. Firstly, the lodge is super cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It has everything you need to holiday comfortably. Steve, the owner gave some good advice prior to the holiday which came in handy! Secondly, the park is so peaceful and quiet, the rivers are beautiful and there is a handy field that you can take your dogs on. A walk over the swing bridge takes you to the grounds of Caer Beris Manor which are stunning and there’s a river way walk which takes you to Builth wells. The the little break was enjoyed by all and we hope to return in the future! Thank you!

“Great location to stay” House is very good to stay for 3 to 5 people. I have booked for 3 people and at the last moment another friend has joined but House owner is very kind to accommodate 4. Facilities in the property are quiet good.I strongly recommend.

“Tranquil, beautiful accommodation with a warm welcome” Apple House is set back from the road and within the grounds of the owner's land. It is a beautiful property with plenty of outside space, including an area to the back of the house with picnic bench, bbq pit and hammock all overlookig fields and meadows that you can wander in and with a beautiful backdrop of sheep and horses grazing which is a lovely sight to open the french doors to each day. The owners, richard and caroline have got it just right - helpful and friendly without being overbearing, there if you need them but otherwise happy to let you get on and enjoy your stay in peace. The kitchen is large and excellently equipped with all you need and a very kind gesture of bread, milk, eggs, butter and fantastic home made welsh cakes is supplied. There is tv, wifi, log fire, big bath and an excellent shower, comfy beds and plenty of wardrobe and storage space. To be honest, you would have difficulty finding fault here, everything has been thought of. If you like dogs, you can leave your property's gate open and their playful, beautiful new foundland molly will no doubt come and say hello, their other dog cooper is an older dog and although friendly, is happier to leave you to it. If you arent a dog lover, just close the gate and your property is closed off. The local pub, the griffin inn serves pub grub and although some reviews of the pub have been a little harsh in the past, the staff has changed and things were fine, food was average pub fayre and its nice and local. All in all, one of the best cottages we have stayed in, and we will be going back for sure.

“The Old Kiln is a wonderful cosy place in the centre of Wales” Perfectly linking the charm and cosy character of a traditional cottage to the comfort of a modern home, the Old Kiln is an outstanding apartment. We felt home from the first moment. Sitting on the veranda you can watch and listen to the brook flowing in front of the house. From the maisonette living room you have a nice view through the large Window and in the second floor you find a very good equipped kitchen where you do not miss anything for cooking. The bath room has a big shower and a heater which warms your towels. The apartment was perfectly clean and decorated with love. The location in the middle of Wales is great, because all different landscape characters of Wales are nearby. We visited the Old Kiln during our honeymoon trip and truly enjoyed our stay. We like to come back at our first anniversary. Thank you for sharing this marvellous place!

“Fabulous views - pet friendly cottage” Fab few days away at Belle Vue Cottage. Jan and Rich were so welcoming and the location is perfect for the falls and Vernwy Lake. We spent many an hour relaxing on the veranda enjoying the fabulous views. We arrived with a trailer, motorbike and 2 Labradors and our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming. We'll be back :)

“Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting, with a welcoming host” Stumbled across this property on the web while looking for somewhere to stay over an extended weekend while attending a relative's birthday party in nearby Trefonen. Philip Barre dealt with our reservation and payment courteously and efficiently and met us on arrival, though we were later than intended. The properties (we booked upstairs and downstairs) were beautifully converted and furnished to a high standard. We settled in with a fire burning in the wood-burning stove (thankfully for Mr. Barre, this is not a review of the weather!) next morning however, the sun was shining, the river was flowing past the end of the garden and we were ready to enjoy our weekend in this very beautiful Border country.
