“A stunning place to stay in beautiful surroundings” Where do you stay with 7 families including a variety of adults, 15 children between us and 4 dogs?.. the answer is HERE. We turned up on Friday night keen but tired and were met by the lovely owner who gave us some info on the barns and some local advice. She had got the wood burners going for us and all the beds were made up as we had asked in advance. We were immediately impressed by the space and the cleanliness of the place. It has a wonderful large communal area in Hafod where we spent most of our time and a more cosy living space in Ty Nant. The bedrooms are all a good size with lovely comfy beds and most have their own bathroom or toilet and basin. The kitchen and dining area is very well set out and well equipped to make catering for such a large group no problem. We found the utility and drying areas really useful too especially when coming in from one of the lovely walks either within the grounds or in the surrounding areas where you will find lots of wildlife, streams and waterfalls. Our children really enjoyed just playing in and around the barns. There is lots of space to explore outside and a fabulous lake with rowing boats which provided hours of fun. They even braved a dip in the lake despite there having been an early frost!! There is also a games room in Hafod which gave them much needed space away from the adults! We walked to Llanidloes on the Saturday where we picked up some meat from the local butchers for our barbeque that evening. We had a quick pint in the very friendly and accomodating (they needed to be with 28 adults and 4 dogs) Stag Inn. It was lovely to see the local farmers market on the main street of the town doing a good trade as well as a variety of independant shops. These are very well equipped barns with plenty of space and lots of outdoors to explore. I can't recommend it more highly.
