On arrival to the villa we were met by our host Eric. He supplied us with many brochures of places to visit and sights to see in the area. He endeavours to ensure his guests are not left wanting during their stay.
This made our time in Jossigny very enjoyable as we had many choices and helpful map directions to destinations. We spent 2 days in Paris visiting the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Notra Dame and the catacombs. As we had a short time in Paris we chose to use the open top bus for a city tour. This was fantastic as we were able to see many things with english commentary Supa. We also took a drive to the magnificent chatau Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte. They call this the mini Versaille, just wonderful.
Our children were very appreciative of the farm animals of Eric and Alexandria. They were able to pat the rabbits and chickens, visit the pet turtle and have a ride on Gumball the family horse.
Alexandra took great care to show our children how the animals are looked after and was also very good in giving our daughter some basic horse riding instruction. We now have a little girl who is very keen to do more riding when she goes home.
The villa was a welcome relief after the long days of sight seeing. We were able to relax in the court yard with a wine and our home cooked meal. After dinner we would stroll around the village and enjoy the french country side. There is a great play ground in the village that our kids enjoyed. The villa is well suited to families with plenty of space and the ability to cook meals making it very cost effective. The bakery just up the street has great breads and pastries and while we did not use them there are a pizzeria and a restaurant just around the corner.
The main reason we chose this Gite was to be close enough to Paris to commute but still be in the French countryside.
We thank our kind hosts for our wonderful stay and wish them well for the future

Absolutely Brilliant Holiday
what a brilliant holiday ! the location was ideal as it was only 15 minutes by car to Disneyland and roughly 30 to central paris but was in a lovely quiet area that was only a small walk or drive from wondrous small villages of stone houses and churches and lovely fresh patisseries for warm bread, it was very beautiful.
Marc and Patricia are wonderful people who made the holiday extra special and welcoming. .
We will definitely holiday here again , in fact its been one of the first holidays that I have personally been gutted to leave and would have stayed longer than the 10 nights given the chance …
