“home from home with a great location in a lovely city” A real lovely apartment, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay is included, even cooking basics such as oil and salt. There were even toiletries available.
The location is great, just on the edge of the historic city centre, so that all the main attractions are within walking distance. The building it is in was well maintained and felt very safe.
The owners were really nice and very helpful, very reassuring to know they were around if any help was needed.
“Ian and Sally really know how to cook!” This rural house is just 20 minutes outside of Málaga. It has a view of Málaga city and harbor that is stunning. The beds are good, There is a wood stove that is really enjoyable. One of our highlights of the weekend there was playing hodge-podge in front of a fire place. Our days had lots of rain, so the wood fire was important. The owners, Ian and Sally, are delightful. They agreed to cook two lunches and an English breakfast for us. The food was marvelous. As a group, we had lots of fun and got a lot of work done.
“Lovely apartment in a gorgeous location” We loved our stay in this apartment with our children who had just turned 3 and 5 at the time of our visit. The property is very stylish and well thought out with lots of space and we really appreciated the fact that each of the bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms had comfortable beds and loads of wardrobe space, the kitchen was well-equipped and designed and nice for cooking, although a lot of the time we ate out or barbecued on our terrace. We loved sitting out on the terrace looking out at the amazing views across the hills and out to sea.
There is a nice play area which has lots of bikes and ride-ons which our children loved. Meanwhile we relaxed in the comfortable hammock chairs under the trees beside the play area, reading magazines and gazing out to sea, really feeling that we were getting away from it all. The pool is lovely and has a segmented bit for small children and there are lots of pool toys to borrow. We didn't use the tennis courts but I can imagine that they would be good for older children.
The property is located close to Malaga and we loved visiting the old town and the seafront of this stylish town - it was very different to the Costa del Sol stereotypes. We also visited Granada which is around 90 mins drive and is stunning. The property is up a slightly hairy mountain road but by day 2 you are completely used to this and the nearest shops and restaurants are around 5 mins drive down the road so very easy to reach.
Claire was a great host, very helpful and welcoming and the properties were immaculately clean. Having holidayed in France for the past three years and paid quite a lot for properties that weren't anywhere nearly as nice, spacious or well-equipped as this apartment I would say it was excellent value as well. We would definitely recommend it!
