“Great holiday in a lovely villa in a stunning part of France” We stayed for a two glorious weeks with three generations of family who all enjoyed the house, pool and local area. There were seven of us so there was plenty of room. We enjoyed walking i
be happy to recommend this to friends, was a great location and property
We found the accommodation to be ideal and of a very high standard especially with such a picturesque view from the terraces. The house is well kitted out and had everything we needed for our stay. The village and surrounding area have lots to offer whether it is simply relaxing with a spectacular view or visiting the sights and villages close by.
The owners, David & Lorna, were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area and also gave practical advice about where to eat and shop.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone. And look forward to returning in the future. …
La Croze d' Auziere
Wonderful, relaxing holiday!
We had a wonderful holiday here, enjoying the French countryside in the Autumn sun. The house is secluded yet only a 10 minute walk into the pretty village of La Rocque Gageac where there are some lovely restaurants and a ready supply of breakfast croissants from the local bakery!
The house is clean, well equipped and spacious, with both an upstairs lounge and a traditional French Kitchen/dining area to relax in. Outside we enjoyed sipping our wine under the vines - laden with grapes, and relaxing by and of course swimming in the pool.
We found it to be an ideal location to base ourselves, visiting Sarlat, Domme and Castlenaud. There were plenty of nice walks which could incorporate a stop for a leisurely lunch. The highlight for us was a cycle to St Cyprien, along the river, with again a stop for lunch!
The owners were very helpful and really the house had a nice feel to it, more like a home. We would recommend this house without hesitation. …
La Malartrie Number 1
Excellent cottage with beautiful views over the Dordogne
This cottage is a little gem, perched up from the road and looking out over the Dordogne and the beautiful town of Rocque Gageac. For the location parking was remarkably easy: a short flat walk along the old road. We just dropped down the driveway to swim in the river. We enjoyed the balconey most - dining there and watching the world (and canoeists) go by. The owner David was there for some our stay and was very hospitable and has a wealth of knowledge about activities in the area.
