“Lovely Kona apartment by the sea.” My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment. It was decorated with the Hawaiian theme and has a wonderful location near White Sands Beach. It was the little extras that made it a cut above....boggie boards, chairs, beach towels, and bikes. We enjoyed the private patio with BBQ outside also. It was perfect for us!

“Wonderful Location!” We have stayed several times in this unit and enjoyed just being able to walk across the street to the best beach on the island. Walk back and jump in the pool. Enjoyed the outdoor BBQ facilities. Well stocked apartment, clean and very comfortable. Love sitting on the lanai early morning and in the evening and taking in the ocean views. Easy to get to town as off the main street. Have fun!

“I'll see you in my dreams” I couldn't find anything to complain about this place if I tried. Sure it rained, but it's in a rainforest! It's quite relaxing listening to it on the roof at night and now that we've gone, I really missed hearing it. The hideaway is exactly that -- a hideaway. Quiet, secluded and peaceful. Stock up on food and you'll be tempted never to leave the property. But as tempting as that is, there are just too many great places to go nearby. It's an easy day trip to anywhere on the island. We went on all kinds of beach and hiking adventures everyday, and it was always such a pleasure to come back to the cottage at night, have a nice hot outdoor shower (even better in the rain) cook some dinner, have a cup of tea, and let the frogs lull you to sleep. There are so many places to see in this world, I don't know if we'll ever get a chance to go back there again, but even if we don't, I know one thing: we'll be going back again and again in our daydreams.

“Quiet accessible neighborhood” Kawahi is a very gracious, knowledgeable, and friendly host. She provided us with much information about local shopping, culture, geography, and activities. Her home is in a quiet residential area with room to park your vehicle off the street. We didn't spend much daytime there as there is so much to do and experience in the Hilo area. The inside of the unit is as pictured with lots of dishes and a good gas range. Kewahi introduced us to lau lau, which is a specially cooked pork dish that I would kill for. She also explained lots of little tidbits about local cultural traits of the people and historical accounts of the area which was very helpful as we traveled around the island. Yes, we would stay with her again.

“"I must be dreaming!"” We were so lucky to come across this Gem! It was our first time on Kona and not sure where we should stay. I was searching online and came across Kona-Leilani. The interior & exterior is beautiful. I was impressed how efficient and helpful they were answering all my questions. The landscape is gorgeous the views are amazing and the location is perfect! It's within walking distance to a beautiful black pebble beach and lots of hiking trails. Let me add that as you scroll through the photos of this property online I'm sure you're thinking what a lovely home but wait until you drive up to the horseshoe driveway, it's stunning! I believe they put all their heart & soul into making sure your stay is one you will cherish forever! We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Kona-Leilani. Thank you! =) Mahalo!

“Just great” We enjoyed our 7 days here very much. So lively close to nature without closed windows and the outside shower made it to the paradies. Kathleen's help from booking to our leaving day was a great help. It is everything here what you need. Beachtowels and snorkeling facilities and a lot more. There is everything in the kitchen. “wonderful vacation” I recently stayed for a week in condo # 216 , which is a privately owned condo and I loved it. I found their place to be clean and comfortable with nice furnishings, well equipped kitchenette, very comfy bed, and a fantastic pool view lit up with tiki torches at night. Their condo is in the perfect location in Kailua Kona with lots to do and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and beaches. The pool was clean and inviting and I would return to #216 in the Kona Islander without hesitation and recommend it to family and friends...

“Fabulous!” As retired school teachers, we give Lopaka's, Bev and Samson an a+++. Cleanliness, friendliness, centrally located for our interests which varied from hiking to events at the University. “A comfortable welcoming place to stay.” Our stay at Bears' Place Guest House was very nice. Nanette and anne were very attentive to our needs, checking in daily to be sure everything was going well for our stay. Anne and Nanette were both happy to share the local places to go and things to do. The house itself was kept very clean. Everything you needed of a beach vacation was available for use. Boogie Boards, beach chairs, ice chests, anything we needed was provided. The house is located directly above the airport, but there was no plane noise as we are up the hill at an elevation of about 1500 ft. The ocean view from the Lanai was spectacular, nice sunsets each night.
