“Nice base for your vacation” The guesthouse was very nice. I missed that it was only a studio, but we really didn't need more space. It would not suit a family, only solo or couple. This was a great place to eat breakfast and dinner, if you desire, and it worked fine as a base of operations for day trips. It is not centrally located. You probably wouldn't spend more than a day nearby. A place closer to Hilo or central Pahoa would be much more efficient. However it was a beautiful drive to and from our "home" each day.
