“Just the Right Size!” It is so hard to find a house that is not incredibly over-sized, so I was glad to finally find something that was the right size and the right price! This beach house was recently constructed and all new appliances. Great details and very comfortable. My family, friends and I felt at home while staying there! I have already recommended this house to friends and definitely want to return. It truly felt like a home away from home and absolutely the best beach house I have ever stayed at!

“Beautiful Guest House in Arenal!” Wendy’s house was a wonderful place to stay near Arenal. The guesthouse, grounds, and pool were unbelievably beautiful. A pathway from your own pool leads to a frog pond, hammock house, and beautiful gardens! Wendy was the perfect host and we enjoyed chatting with her each morning. She is very knowledgeable about the area and gave great recommendations of what we do during our stay. Villa Hermosa is in a good location central to all Arenal activities. The villa is 10 minutes down the road from the Springs Resort. We got a day pass and spent a wonderful afternoon seeing animals in a rescue center and soaking in the hot springs. During our stay we also took a hike at a nearby reserve, took a night tour to see snakes and spiders, spent a half day at an animal reserve, and hiked to La Fortuna Waterfall- all within a short distance to Wendy’s place. I would definitely recommend Villa Hermosa to anyone and hope to be back someday!

“Most relaxing vacation” The house is architecturally simple, but stunning. Even being so close to the beach we were happy on a few days to just cook a simple dinner in the open-air kitchen, lay on the hammocks and just look at the ocean. Fun to watch the monkeys, birds, and even big bugs frolicking around outside the house, without ever disturbing us. Climate was perfect. Hosts Lori and Bobby were very helpful and friendly. Only thing to note: you need a four-wheel drive vehicle to get up the STEEP unpaved road. Thank you, Lori!

“You will be happy you stayed here!” My family and I have been visiting Santa Teresa twice a year for the past 4 years! I have to say, Villa Guanacaste has been our favorite place that we have stayed! We will definitely be going back there. Sam, the owner, has done a great job with the building and decor of this home! He is also an excellent source of local information! My teenagers really enjoyed the pool!

“Mountaintop getaway brings Costa Rica's beauty to your window” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this remote home outside of Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Although it is a bit of a drive from the town it was worth it. We were surrounded by incredible views and Costa Rican nature -- including toucans outside our windows -- that provided a very relaxing spot after a day of sightseeing. The home is very large and comfortable -- our oldest child loved the hammock , and the homeowners are incredibly welcoming and gracious, doing everything possible -- including driving us wherever we needed to go and loaning us a cell phone -- to ensure that we had a perfect stay. Being able to have a chef during our stay made it an even more relaxing vacation.

“This is a special place.” A perfect place to unwind and relax on the deck with a gorgeous view. We saw many birds and a howler monkey...! The house is very well located. Manual Antonio is an easy day trip and you can take a boat trip to the Corcovado Park from nearby Sierpe. We only stayed 3 nights and wished we had stayed a week.

“Wow - More than I could have imagined” This was the best family vacation we have ever had. While I was being pampered with Spa Services at the house (a facial and body scrub with homemade organic products), the kids were riding horseback and my husband was sitting by the pool. We loved it.
