“Everything you expect, and more.” My wife and I had the pleasure of renting Casa Fiesta during the month of February 2015. This was our fifth trip to Costa Rica in as many years, and we weren't disappointed with any part of our trip. First off, Mike and Alexis were great to work with in regards to getting the house rented. All my emails were answered promptly, directions and explanations were concise and accurate, and nothing was left to chance. Reading some of the other reviews, it seems like some people grew tired of the dirt road leading to the home. The road itself is only 3.1 kilometers off the paved road, and I really didn't think it was all that bad. We traveled over it for a month and it normally took 8 minutes from the time we left the house until we hit the blacktop. If you haven't drove on a dirt road in Costa Rica, then you haven't been to Costa Rica. Don't expect interstate driving. That's part of the charm. I've booked other rentals online based on photographs and been somewhat disappointed of the place after I've arrived. Many times, the photos of the rentals were taken in the best possible light at the best possible angle. Technically, they were being truthful but reality was sometimes lost from what was presented. The pictures shown on here of Casa Fiesta do not do the home justice. The home is nothing short of spectacular and we were blessed to see some of the best sunsets on planet earth. The home is accommodating in every sense of the word. It's great for relaxation, grilling dinner with friends, lazing by the pool, or surfing the internet while planning the next days activities. The bed in the master bedroom was amazing and the kitchen comes equipped with anything you would need to prepare full course meals or just brew a good cup of coffee. No review of this home is going to be complete without speaking about the people who keep this place running and looking great, namely Diego and Jennifer. Diego keeps every part of this home functioning properly. He kept the pool in excellent condition, made himself available to answer any question regarding Potrero or the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. Diego is also one of the best tour guides in the area, be it zip lining, fishing, boating, or visiting one of the National Parks. You won't find anyone more knowledgeable of the area or more giving of their time. Jennifer also provides an outstanding service in keeping the inside of the home cleaned and properly stocked of items. I will have to say that one of the best memories of this home and trip is going to be the friendship we made with them. Diego and Jennifer are quality people, and you can trust them completely. Maintaining a home like this requires much effort and dedication. Diego and Jennifer are well suited for this responsibility, and they do it with a smile every day. You won't go wrong renting this place if you're thinking about it. The only surprise I had was that it was better than I anticipated. We would go back in a heartbeat. Scott and Lib

“Amazing vacation!” We had one of our best trips ever! The condo was absolutely beautiful and in close proximity to the tennis/golf club, beach club and Four Seasons restaurants/spa. It was fun using the golf cart provided by the owner to explore the area and see animals, especially the monkeys. The pool at the condo was refreshing after being out all day and has a gorgeous view. Both the owner and concierge were very attentive to our needs and helped us arrange groceries, a chef and tours if we needed them. We can't wait to book again.

“Right in the middle of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa” This rental is situated perfectly between the two towns. The house sits back just far enough off the main road to avoid the dust and noise. Walk right out and surf Carmen or a 5 minute walk to Teresa. We really enjoyed our stay!

“Jaw dropping beautiful home!” We stayed at Casa Cieba for 6 days and I must say when we first saw the house my mouth dropped open! From the beautiful carved wooden doors to the spectacular lake and volcano views from every room in the house, this place is amazing! You can sit on the porch swing, drinking your morning coffee and listen to all the birds, or sit in the hot tub in the evening and witness some of the best sunsets I've ever seen! We were fortunate enough to see toucans, green parrots, coatis and white faced monkeys along with a host of other birds right from the house. You have to do Sky Trek which is just down the road. I would recommend not only doing the zip lines but also the guided hanging bridges tour. We also did several excursions using Desafio and got a 10% discount for booking multiple tours. These included waterfall rapelling, caving and white water rafting! We didn't get a chance to hike up Cerro Chato volcano as it rained the day we planned on going but this gave us a chance to relax and enjoy the house! Be sure to check out the Eco Zoo right in El Castillo and ask the neighbour alan about the hidden waterfall hike, it's an easy walk but fun and beautiful. We spent 3 hours at Baldi hot springs and could easily have stayed half a day! There were a few minor issues at the house in regards to using the washer and dryer and hot water but I let Jim know and he is fixing this. Jim was a great guy to deal with, very informative and always answers your e-mail inquiries right away! The rooms have comfortable beds and each room has it's own balcony! There's wifi which is handy and a mobile phone to use for local calls. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, other than a dishwasher lol. The hot tub takes a good hour to heat up so be sure to give yourself time before sunset! Our only regret was that we didn't book more time at Casa Cieba so we could kick back and enjoy the house more!
